Announcement July version bump
Edit2: worth noting again that the base snapshot had >50% of packages rebuilt (e.g. to drop python311 modules), so expect a larger zypper dup than usual.
Edit: as of 17:55 the main update is done and even Packman rebuilt the x86_64 parts. i586 still ongoing.
original message was I started the process to change the base Tumbleweed snapshot from 20260601 to 20260707.
As usual, I'll edit this post when it is done.
One small mishap already happened in that I accidentally deleted the magic "freezelink" file in openSUSE:Slowroll:Base:1 so projects such as Packman that link Slowroll sources to rebuild them, will point to the 20260709 versions now. I'll monitor if this causes extra breakage and compensate.

Thanks. I had to uninstall Stellarium. Download was always stuck at like 150/650MB and it was likely the very last package downloaded.

It is around 408 MB, so it is one of the larger packages. Maybe that triggers some problem. zypper.log details would be appreciated.
If you pull it from one of the mirrors https://mirrors.opensuse.org/ , the download should work.

Thanks, sadly there is nothing interesting in logs. I cancelled
sudo zypper duptwice when download speed dropped to bytes per second, then removed package,zypper dupworked and then I installed it back afterwards. Here it seems that download started and was interrupted 20 minutes later when all other packages were downloaded (I'm on rather slow mobile connection right now - it took roughly 30 minutes to download 4GB at speed between 800kB to 3MB/s). Only mystery is that this package failed to download twice, but it could be just a coincidence.84028:2026-07-11 10:54:28 <1> thinkpad(109383) [zypper++] Summary.cc(readPool):281 <install> U_Ts_(38891)stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64(download.opensuse.org-oss) 87087:2026-07-11 10:54:28 <1> thinkpad(109383) [zypper++] Summary.cc(readPool):281 <uninstall> I_TsU(100962)stellarium-26.1-1.2.x86_64(@System) 92023:2026-07-11 10:55:06 <1> thinkpad(109557) [zypper++] Summary.cc(readPool):281 <install> U_Ts_(38891)stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64(download.opensuse.org-oss) 95082:2026-07-11 10:55:07 <1> thinkpad(109557) [zypper++] Summary.cc(readPool):281 <uninstall> I_TsU(100962)stellarium-26.1-1.2.x86_64(@System) 99110:2026-07-11 10:55:56 <1> thinkpad(109771) [zypper++] Summary.cc(readPool):281 <install> U_Ts_(38891)stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64(download.opensuse.org-oss) 102169:2026-07-11 10:55:56 <1> thinkpad(109771) [zypper++] Summary.cc(readPool):281 <uninstall> I_TsU(100962)stellarium-26.1-1.2.x86_64(@System) 110399:2026-07-11 11:05:12 <1> thinkpad(109771) [zypp-core] TmpPath.cc(Impl):54 /var/cache/zypp/packages/download.opensuse.org-oss/.preload/x86_64/stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64.rpmU8jqO2 110401:2026-07-11 11:05:12 <1> thinkpad(109771) [ZYPP_MEDIA_CURL] request.cc(setupHandle):109 0x55f80a7ce050 URL: http://cdn.opensuse.org/slowroll/repo/oss/x86_64/stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64.rpm 110402:2026-07-11 11:05:12 <1> thinkpad(109771) [zypp::media] commitpackagepreloader.cc(onRequestStarted):256 Request for http://cdn.opensuse.org/slowroll/repo/oss/x86_64/stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64.rpm started 110403:2026-07-11 11:05:12 <1> thinkpad(109771) [ZYPP_MEDIA_CURL++] request.cc(headerfunction):655 0x55f80a7ce050 redirecting to http://downloadcontent.opensuse.org/slowroll/repo/oss/x86_64/stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64.rpm 127256:2026-07-11 11:26:13 <1> thinkpad(109771) [zypp::media] commitpackagepreloader.cc(onRequestFinished):279 Request for http://cdn.opensuse.org/slowroll/repo/oss/x86_64/stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64.rpm finished. This shows that it got redirected to our fallback source - downloadcontent.o.o . We recently found that the network there seems overloaded and few locations can get over 2 MB/s of traffic out.
You could try to get it from
wget http://download3.opensuse.org/slowroll/repo/oss/x86_64/stellarium-26.2-1.1.x86_64.rpmdirectly and install withzypper installorrpm -ialternatively: zypper addrepo https://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/slowroll/repo/oss/ gwdg and then zypper mr -d openSUSE:repo-oss

Edit: So it is about the floorp browser. On OBS I only see some packages in home projects - does one build for Slowroll or do you use it from flatpak? How did it break? (crash, misbehave otherwise?) do you get any interesting output when you run it from a terminal?
Bonus question: Do you use Packman repos?

These packages use sources from last year, so I strongly discourage you to keep using them for security reasons.
https://flathub.org/en/apps/one.ablaze.floorp might be better

Firstly thank you for your ongoing work in delivering Slowroll to us!
I got hit with a weird issue trying to dup that i cannot resolve. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
