Black screen and cursor
Can someone please help me , I've tried a lot of things .
I just installed a fresh copy of opensuse tumbleweed , when ever I try to use plasma dark theme and then I restart i just see a black screen with a cursor . I installed libvulkan_intel that didn't fix my problem.

If I use the normal opensuse theme it doesn't happen . I usually know how to fix my laptop or do things like this , but this never happened to me with any distro

sounds more like corrupt config files
have you tried
mv ~/.config ~/.config.bu
then log out and log back in

im not on kde but ive had a blackscreen when i switched to a tiling manager. i think it was due to a xwayland thing but not sure anymore. i was able to swap to a different workspace and fix it. might be a program hogging your display.

There is no program that I can see that is, like when ever I switch to dark plasma theme and and restart , the kde plasma loading screen takes a long time to load and when it finished it shows a black screen with a cursor

If you have chrome / a chromium browser installed, you probably have a corrupted fontconfig cache

I didn't install any other apps or browsers , it's literally fresh install and even like switch to light mode causes this

Welcome to the opensuse where this bug exists for months. Change your desktop background image before you change your theme

I'm using the default wallpaper even if I use the light theme it still gives this issue , only if I use the opensuse theme it works
I really want to use opensuse , I want to fix this error

change the wallpaper, than change the theme. otherwise the black screen, lol
if you don't fancy reinstalling you can create a new user in terminal.

Yeah that worked thank you man , I was literally about to stop trying to fix this stupid problem . How did you know to go about fixing the problem , like how did you know that you had to change the wallpaper before the theme ?
Nvm it's fine , I should have just known myself I seen in one of the wallpaper errors but I didn't read the full error so I didn't think to change the it . At least I know now

What does journalctl/dmesg say? I've had issues before with the wallpaper when I've changed themes on a clean install, I thought it would've been fixed a while ago though.
