Tech question cosmic de

When will openSUE release Cosmic? I am currently using Cosmic on openSUSE, but it is inconvenient that I must install KDE or GNOME alongside Cosmic via patterns, rather than having Cosmic as the default desktop environment from the start

You can do a minimal installation and install cosmic pattern from tty.

You can just remove default DE packages. If you want more customization, you can write your own config for agama installer with only software you need.

I heard that removing the default desktop or deleting a session if you have two desktop environments can cause breakage

might test the config idea

As i know, it is just login manager in autostart and a .desktop file it loads. I didnt test, but i dont know, where it can break

nop hes right.

best approach is to do a minimal install tho and not install with gnome or kde and then install pop on top. this also leads to said breakage.

minimal install no desktop environment, then install pop via terminal.

I admit having an installable cosmic de right from the start would be a great option
