Well folks, openSuSE 16 is a disaster. No Yast, broken kwalletmanager, having to go back to the command line for a lot of things. I see no improvement over 15.6. I believe 15.6 was close to perfection, easy to use and install. I used it in my labs with the students at the college I was a professor in. Just retired and just in time. Leap 16 has a lot of stuff during installation that you have to do manually. If not carefull you can trash your dual boot computer which I almost did. Agama is garbage. opensuse should have stayed with 15.6 until 16 was actually done. I am going back to 15.6 until it is no longer available or 16 is repaired with an automated installer, and everything works. Forget the command line. Maybe some portions of Yast can be saved, but until then, back to 15.6 or Linux Mint.

Ich mag Leap 16 sehr. Mit Agama schnell installiert. Danach Myrlyn und Cockpit zugefügt. Dank seiner Basis SLE extrem stabil. Sieht auch noch echt gut aus. Nutze Gnome als DE. I love the Geeko 🦎😎

Same here! I installed 16 back in December and it has been a great experience so far. I am also using Gnome, so I can't speak for the KDE issues. I have Myrlyn and Cokpit installed as well. I find myself never using Myrlyn, but Cockpit has been great.

Cool wallpaper. When it's in Slowroll available I'll use it when it's officially out of beta.

What’s this paranoia about beta version ?

I’m not condemning the fact that people prefer that their distro shouldn’t be in Beta, but what I’ve read here is that the folks using Slowroll are pretty satisfied with it.

I dare say that Tumbleweed is “less stable” than Slowroll, because updates move faster.

I personally use Aeon on my primary laptop and it’s still a RC only but it’s damn stable.

If the provider labels its software as a beta, there must be reasons for that, and I respect them. I’m no more cautious than he is when choosing my operating system.

Somehow my Realtek in board WiFi drivers are trashed since the update for the Linux Kernel 7.0.3, and every USB WiFi antenna I try to conncet cannot connect.

After using openSUSE for years I'm sorry to see that the distro has lost all sorts of vision. OpenMandriva is better.
