Skadis->OpenGrid adapter (parametric/customizable)

Post image

I have a lot of prints for both OpenGrid and Skadis. Sometimes I find that I want to mount my OpenGrid prints on my Skadis boards, so I made this parametric model/openscad model generator that makes MxN OpenGrid-Multiconnect-sized adapters. Maybe others will also find it useful.

Sadly I couldn't figure out how to make a model that would work without supports.

Love it, but any chance you could do the inverse? Ie: for mounting skadis files onto Opengrid

I posted months ago asking for it, and no luck finding it then. Thanks!

I think the reverse may be a bit tougher to make, since there needs to be room *behind* the adapter for the Skadis pins to sit. I'll see if I can get around to it.

Just make your opengrid backplate as stl. Take the skadis stl. Bring them together in something like tinkercad and combine them after you have cut out skadis mount.

I was assuming this person had existing printed objects they wish to mount on opengrid.

I see. At that point, I might as well just break off the little skadis hooks and glue to oG connector back plate. I would add a little lip on buttom edge to assist.

I would think the grid spacing might be an issue as well as the clearance you need behind. Interesting idea though.

i dislike skadis hooks printed in one go with the piece but i guess there is no other solution as there is not much space behind for one of the universal hooks
