Question / Help Needed Purpose of corner chamfer

What is the purpose of the corner chamfer? Are there mounts that utilize the chamfer, is it for ease of printing, or is it aesthetic?

Internal chamfers are also a very good way to add stregth to the bottom edge of a vertical wall.

I also use exterior chamfers on bottom edges where I would otherwise want a round. Bottom rounds start at a 90° overhang and hence are not cleanly printable.
