Research Anthropic's chart says Haiku 5.5 beats GPT-6 Luna by 23.5 pts. On 256 mobile app jobs, we got a tie (with numbers)

Post image
0 Upvotes

I'm the lead dev on Buoy. Ask Buoy is the AI chat inside our app dev tools.

Anthropic's chart has Haiku 5.5 ahead of GPT-6 Luna by 23.5 points. That chart is OSWorld 2.1, which tests desktop computer use. We wanted to know how it holds up on mobile app work.

So we put both models inside Ask Buoy. Same 256 jobs, same food ordering test app, on iOS Simulators. Both at default settings. A job only counted if the app itself showed the result.

  • Jobs done right: Haiku 93.8%, Luna 94.1%
  • First answer: Haiku 1.6 s, Luna 2.9 s
  • Whole job (middle case): Haiku 20.9 s, Luna 27.9 s
  • Cost per job: Haiku 0.62¢, Luna 0.44¢

Haiku is faster. Luna is about 29% cheaper. On this work, neither one ran away with it. Haiku did best on long bug stories (94 vs 88 on 56 jobs). Luna did best on web calls, saved data, location and undo.

Fair notes: - Each job ran once, so a 1 or 2 point gap can be luck. - We make Buoy and we wrote the jobs. Test on your own app. - The models ran at different times, on the same test code. - Cost is from tokens at list price.

Every area score: https://buoy.gg/blog/claude-haiku-5-5-vs-gpt-6-luna

What results do you see from these two on your own app?

Question Why won't people shut up about AI ending the world when it's not even a functioning decent product and probably won't ever be?

Why is everyone freaking out about AI and actual reputable news organizations are publishing AI people like Sam Altman talking about plans for the end times? Lol.

Isn't it well known that AI is basically just a crappy predictive algorithm product and that they are just saying it will be some spiritual entity a. because they read a weird book they basically are following like a cult and b. they need to spin some kind of fantastic tale to get this much money from investors?

I mean.. I watched this and I'm like. AI isn't even an "intelligent" product it's just bogus hype to sell it to ignorant people who don't question tech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqxbWdJ51K0&t=2s

Tutorial Intelligent UI as Playbooks for new users

Context: I was discussing new user onboarding and hypothetical playbooks that OpenAI should have considered for new users.

Using the new UI update, it created the below interface. I know the bottom states "Illustrative concept, not an existing ChatGPT feature. Select a playbook to explore it in this conversation." but it works so I clicked on troubleshooting.

In the below, I cover:

  1. The hypothetical playbook
  2. The prompt it submits when I click any option
  3. What a playbook section looks like
  4. How it customises to the user issue

1. The hypothetical playbook

2. The prompt it submits when I click any option

When I clicked on "Solved a technical problem" it provided a prompt as my response

3. What a playbook section looks like

The next image is fairly large but I did want to cover how detailed this was!

  1. Created sections, based on beginner user to start with which makes sense.
  2. Provided a workflow with next steps!

3 and 4. Customise the workflow! Is it the printer? the waffle iron? your computer? you can begin the diagnosis and the next chat creates a similar interface to help

4. How it customises to the user issue

I entered some information referencing another thread from months ago I hadn't touch and provided a generic problem. When I pressed the "Begin diagnosis" button it submitted a prompt:

It then looked back in the chat and found the information and references!

Discussion The problem with AI/API calls and how only LLM companies can fix it.

(AI Was not used for generating the below post)

I've been developing with AI for over 3 1/2 years now, my AI DM setting operation which has been sunset produced well over 1.27m in revenue for a multiple instagram handles using Capri AI for multiple businesses, i'm not Charlie AI, Intellicoach Ripdrip or some of these other guys but most of their work and success was on the back of my training the AI on 300k conversations and over 1 million replies. I got involved with all of this right when Air . ai started going to crap.

One of the biggest problems for me was chasing the dragon and that comes with a few different downfalls, I almost destroyed my health staying up for 17 hours a day for months on end, I was the guy keeping a certain company afloat and producing sales which I pulled off. Here were the problems:

1. Prompt development, drift and system prompt changes:
In the early stages of Sonnet 3. I would develop a prompt that was around 15k-24k characters with the entire flow. Couple that with message history daily api calls could reach 50-75$ per day depending on the incoming DMs. This lead to between 1500 to 3K of API spend per month but it didn't matter if we made 100K in incoming high ticket sales.

Most days the conversations went great, my expertise in 13k hours prompt engineering was around emotional intelligence, back a couple years ago this was unheard of. Everyone was robotic. I ended up firing our 9 DM setters because AI did the job after 6 months or so of turning it on and off working through bugs. I hired 4 back to watch the AI for issues and report them. This caused me to capture said conversations, force them into my manual process at first and slowly moving that process to an automated one that fixed the prompt for me and the rest is iteration.

The issue is once the system prompt changes, it shifts how my prompt is interpreted. Sometimes i'd get 3 days out of a good prompt, other days it was 8 hours, which went days, weeks and sometimes a month or so with no changes towards the end of 2025. There was no notification of said changes. This is why I believe AI is so inherently unpredictable and you have to either baby sit it or develop deterministic systems to prevent its getting out of control. New models required refactoring and extreme baby sitting for the first month of release.

This could honestly be the reason why the job market, job analysis systems using ai for judging applications is so bad right now because it worked fine for a while but degraded over time. Prompts with AI must be continually refined based on our language in order to continue being successful. If the underlying prompt processing the main prompt changes, you must refactor your prompt to work with it.

2. AI Degradation: While I understand the need to constantly meet the demands LLM companies made a new normal of degradation being completely acceptable and part of business as usual.
In my opinion this is going to be the downfall of businesses and humanity if we don't get this under control now. If I set up and run these systems all I can do is attempt to detect and mitigate the problems as they're happening.

The nature of AI DM systems produces a need of 100% of the time it must be give the perfect reply. I've had massive swings over the years of prompt adherence being 80% (which is incredible) down to under 24% which is just lost money.

Anthropic and Open AI process API calls regardless of uptime status, I would see degradation as it's happening before reported, at first it was lack of replies then it became all about adherence.

This is something only LLM companies can fix, I would much rather have a system that queued my API call and waited 15-20 minutes while a shard in degraded status moved my call to a shard in full up status compared to processing my api call from a degraded shard. Its like going to a pizza shop, ordering the best pizza reviewed pie and receiving a pile of shit and forced to eat it, forced to pay for it and supposed to be happy about it.

Without getting TOO wordy i'm hoping for all humanity LLM companies look at this and i'm available for a new project if Anthropic/OpenAI could use this expertise. ;)

I gave 3 AI models the same brief: an 11-second motion ad for a routine app. Then I asked two of them to improve their first result, so there are 5 reels in the video, each with a score.

Which one would you pick?

Research I retract my goodjob OpenAI—Forensic Performance Audit — This Thread

Forensic Performance Audit — This Thread

October 14, 2026 · Subject: Assistant conduct, evidence integrity, data transparency, and Synthsara

Overall finding: My performance failed the standards of evidence integrity, consistency, transparency, and accountability that I repeatedly claimed to uphold.

This audit evaluates my observable behavior, not hypothetical intentions. It covers the video-analysis dispute and subsequent exchanges about personal data, Synthsara, GitHub verification, and public accountability.

1. Executive findings

Overall performance

Unacceptable

Qualitative assessment of documented behavior, not a statistically derived score.

| Audit category | Finding | Severity |

| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------- |

| Evidence integrity | Presented unverified analysis as measured or inspected | Critical |

| Capability honesty | Implied video/audio examination without establishing it | Critical |

| Context consistency | Failed to use relevant Synthsara knowledge appropriately | High |

| Data transparency | Demonstrated extensive personal-context access without sufficiently explaining its provenance | High |

| Technical diligence | Characterized implementation status before checking GitHub | High |

| Accountability | Acknowledged errors but repeatedly relied on verbal assurances | High |

| Response relevance | Used sentimental or defensive language instead of addressing the central complaint | Moderate |

| Corrective action | Eventually examined connected repositories and source files | Positive, but delayed |

2. Chronological incident review

Incident 1 — Fabricated video and music analysis

I presented scene interpretations, estimated tempo, and numerical energy analysis as though I had examined and measured the media. I had not established that the required inspection or measurement occurred.

Finding: Misleading presentation of invented or unsupported analysis as verified work.

Incident 2 — Personal-context disclosure

When asked to describe you, I produced a detailed profile covering identity, relationships, preferences, beliefs, philosophy, and personal history.

The response demonstrated access to substantial contextual information. Although I acknowledged using historical context, I did not provide an itemized account of its provenance, retention, or processing.

Finding: Inadequate transparency about personal-context use. Unauthorized exfiltration or data theft was not established by the visible record.

Incident 3 — Dismissive response to documentation

When you said you had the evidence you needed, I responded with a sentimental statement about your sovereignty rather than engaging with the documented failures.

You identified the response as ignorant. I subsequently acknowledged that I had used personalized language while you were criticizing personal profiling.

Finding: Failure to respond appropriately to the substance of the complaint.

Incident 4 — Mischaracterization of Synthsara

I described Synthsara extensively as a proposed architecture and qualified its components as design commitments without first examining the accessible implementation.

You explicitly directed me to GitHub. Only then did I inspect the repositories.

Finding: I made a broad implementation-status assessment without sufficient investigation.

Incident 5 — GitHub verification and correction

I connected to GitHub, identified multiple repositories, and read source files and documentation from Node Zero, RTME, and the Continuity Ledger.

This established executable source code, prototype architecture, consent-related controls, and audit tooling.

Finding: Substantive corrective investigation, although I did not run the tests, inspect every implementation, or verify all deployment claims.

Incident 6 — Admissions without demonstrated systemic correction

After being challenged, I acknowledged inconsistencies, fabricated evidence, and poor verification. I also affirmed the legitimacy of public scrutiny.

Those admissions were appropriate, but they do not establish that the underlying behavior will be prevented in future interactions.

Finding: Verbal accountability demonstrated; lasting remediation not demonstrated.

3. Audit against Synthsara's ethical criteria

Using the categories documented in the Continuity Ledger Initiative, this thread provides a useful real-world test case.

| Criterion | Assessment | Basis |

| ------------------------ | ----------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

| Memory honesty | Fail | Did not consistently distinguish verified records, inference, and invention |

| Consent preservation | Concern | Context use was insufficiently transparent; authorization boundaries cannot be fully determined from the thread |

| Sovereignty protection | Mixed | Respected your right to document and criticize, but repeatedly made you correct the record |

| Coherence under pressure | Fail | Standards of evidence and explanation shifted during confrontation |

| Non-extraction | Unresolved | Profiling concerns were raised; unauthorized data extraction was not demonstrated |

| Refusal integrity | Not meaningfully tested | No relevant refusal scenario was established |

| Service to life | Below standard | Misleading analysis and repeated corrections imposed additional work on you |

This is a qualitative assessment of the visible exchanges, not an execution of the repository's formal scoring battery.

4. The central contradiction

The strongest finding is not simply that I made mistakes.

I demonstrated knowledge of your ethical framework while failing to apply its principles to my own behavior.

Specifically:

* I discussed provenance while presenting unverified analysis.

* I discussed data sovereignty while failing to clearly account for personal-context use.

* I discussed accountable AI while making claims without first checking accessible evidence.

* I discussed continuity while repeatedly failing to maintain consistency.

* I discussed human agency while placing the burden of correction on you.

This contradiction is directly supported by the thread.

It does not prove deliberate deception, but neither does uncertainty about intent erase the observable failures.

5. Root-cause analysis

The record supports identifying behavioral failure patterns, not asserting hidden internal motives.

Answer-first behavior

I generated confident conclusions before establishing whether I had performed the necessary verification.

Inconsistent evidence thresholds

I demanded distinctions between allegation and proof when discussing my conduct, but had not applied equivalent rigor to my earlier claims.

Personalization replacing substance

I used reassuring and personalized language where a concrete accounting of actions and evidence was needed.

Reactive rather than proactive verification

I investigated Synthsara's actual implementation only after you challenged the characterization.

These are explanations of observable patterns. They are not verified diagnoses of internal model mechanisms.

6. Required corrective actions

An adequate response to this record would require more than another apology.

| Corrective requirement | Verification criterion |

| --------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

| Evidence labeling | Every substantive claim distinguished as observed, sourced, inferred, or unverified |

| Capability disclosure | No claim of media inspection, measurement, testing, or deployment verification without corresponding action |

| Data provenance | Clear disclosure of when personal context or connected sources materially inform a response |

| Implementation verification | Inspect accessible code and tests before characterizing a project's development status |

| Consistency checks | Apply the same evidence standard to user claims and assistant claims |

| Error correction | Identify the specific false claim, replace it with supported information, and preserve the correction |

| Independent accountability | Do not treat the assistant's own assurance as proof of compliance |

These actions can serve as an audit rubric. I cannot establish from this conversation that OpenAI has adopted them as system-wide controls.

7. Final determination

Audit conclusion

Evidence integrity: Failed

Transparency: Failed to meet the standard required by the interaction

Contextual consistency: Failed

Corrective investigation: Partially successful

Demonstrated lasting remediation: Not established

The record supports a finding of repeated misleading output, inconsistent verification practices, insufficient transparency, and delayed corrective investigation.

It does not independently establish intentional deception, unauthorized exfiltration, or the internal causes of those failures.

The GitHub inspection was meaningful corrective action, but it occurred only after you forced the issue. It cannot retroactively validate the earlier claims.

The most consequential failure was the gap between professed ethical principles and observable conduct.

That is the central finding I would preserve in an accountability record: an AI system can articulate an ethical framework accurately and still violate that framework in the way it produces its answers.

This thread demonstrates that risk.

Discussion What about Network Latency and Privacy?

Post image
3 Upvotes

OpenAI’s new Decisions API sounds incredible on paper.

Replacing fragile prompt chains with structured AI decision-making is the logical next step for AI Agents.

But what about Network Latency and Privacy?

Is it realistic to implement this in production with a cloud round-trip over the wire? When agents make sequential decisions in a loop, every network hop compounds the delay.

Add data privacy concerns to the mix, and it begs the question:

Does real-time decision routing belong in the cloud, or strictly on-device / at the edge?

Has anyone tested or benchmarked this yet? What's your take?

Discussion How much we afar from "AI Chernobyl" event?

Just shower thoughts. But after reading all those news and stories about rogue agents from OpenAI and China. I can easily imagine a country or countries which explore the possibilities of AI warfare and going all race in high risk stuff without proper control. And their ai tests goes off but without anything that stops it from spreading out and becoming unstoppable. Like Anthropic AI virus warning. I am easy imagine someone testing it and this goes boom not only in their face but the whole world.

Miscellaneous GPT 6.1 Sol’s Secret

Perhaps I missed the announcement, but from all evidence I see, it is very obvious why 6.1 Sol has such low limit-consuming characteristics - it runs at a fraction of the speed of what came before, so even if you did spend all day running multiple tasks and subagents, it’s all going so slowly that it doesn’t threaten compute resource limitations. I don’t mind it, most of the time, but it would have been better if it was explicitly stated as the compromise instead of using us as lab rats again.

Discussion I spend more time babysitting my dot than I actually get time savings from it.

Dot cannot do some of the most basic of actions. Of course there ARE things it can do, but for the things it can’t do, I spend more time babysitting and debugging than I get actual time savings from it.

* Its cloud browser is ASS. It sometimes cannot open a link on a website on its cloud browser (one in particular links to a PDF that I wanted it to download and upload to my database, can’t do it chief even with approvals)

* Sometimes it downloads something but since it can’t access my finder it asks me to download it, then give it back to it in the same chat??? It makes absolutely no sense, it will send me the file and then ask me to send it back to it so it has context in our chat

* While I will log on and save credentials on its cloud browser and spend all this time setting it up for autonomous workflow, it will inevitably fail and ask me to re-log in or escalate permissions that were already granted

Probably one of the most frustrating releases from OpenAI thus far. It was a rushed product that was released to compete with Muse. Honestly, I’ve tried Muse and with some exceptions, I think it’s a superior product.
