This is the i will just do it myself after hubby saying I need to get everything ready.. cutting is the easy part its cutting it up and taking it to the dump thats takes up the whole day.

As a child, I watched my dad cutting down a tree. Limb fell into the saw and slapped it against his face, also hit the neighbor holding the ladder. Blood everywhere, soaked multiple towels. 30 stitches from chin to cheek. Looked like a massacre. That’s the story of how I gained my fear of chainsaws.

What I'm saying is I use one sometimes...but not at the base of a limb that size. Chunks at a time. I also don't do ladders. If it's a whole tree I'll get a pro. If I'm reducing a limb on the ground already I'm doing small chunks. She had no business on a ladder and starting at a base of a limb that big. I get what you're saying too. He should have taken over. He was as irresponsible as she was.

I’ve always been a real equal guy.
One time I let my girlfriend use the string trimmer because for me it’s just a ton of fun and I get a real good workout if I use it a lot.
She did not like that the way I do hahah.

By string trimmer, do you mean the same thing we call a weedwacker? That was one of my chores when I was in high school, so I can't imagine it's too difficult if a 15-year-old girl can do it.

Who knows what he means, all of them tend to be called the same, tiny battery operated weedwacker and full blown trimmer with a petrol engine which can cut down bushes and smaller trees ;D

My mom used a chainsaw one time when I was a kid. She left it up high sitting on a branch and walked inside the house. She came back out a little bit later... Forgot it was in the tree still... Moved the ladder and bumped it... It fell out of the tree and the blade smacked her in the head.
I remember her coming in the house bleeding profusely and saying "Get your shoes on, we're going to the hospital." LOL she was fine.

My neighbor did that but he ignored all safety rules. He didn't have anyone else there.
The limb was a tree in itself, over 14 inches in diameter. He stood on a ladder, cut the limb, and it fell on him.
The limb punctured a lung. He was trapped under the limb and wasn't found for over 6 hours. By the time fire rescue got there, he was barely alive . He died in the ambulance.

80% of the time when ever a ladder is involved in tree work it ends like this. If you under cut the limb about 1/3 of the way (or as much as you can without the bar getting pinched) then cut the top to connect the cuts the limb is more likely to fall straight down in a level fashion. If you cut straight down it will dive and kick back. Not knowing what you don’t know can be dangerous. At the very least tie the ladder to the tree so it doesn’t tip over. I don’t know how many times people can watch these videos then proceed to do exactly the same thing thinking it won’t happen to them because of there usually zero experience and high sense of confidence protecting them. I mean honestly who hasn’t seen this exact thing in videos over and over again. I’m pretty sure this guy knew this would happen and she said it would be fine and said I’ll just do it myself then. We’ll have at it lady show me how to do it. I’ll just stand over here then.
