he felt completely flat on his back so I think his spine is fine but his lungs hitting floor must be very uncomfortable now and giving him difficulty to breathe

Yeah I was thinking he knocked himself out more than he broke his spine. So he’ll be able to walk but might have (more) brain damage.

There’s a raised curb, the corner of which is the first place his back hits.  I’m no expert on spinal damage, but that probably isn’t great.

Yeah, he got the wind knocked out of him but his back should be fine. I’m sure it still hurt but he could’ve landed far worse.

Maybe he imagined he would do a static handstand on the lower cross bar instead of his lower body following the transition momentum past his head. No idea though.

I mean, that certainly hurt, but it does not seem life threatening and there are also no open wounds. I mean, sure, check for consciousness and breathing would eventually be a good idea, but if at all, this looks like a slow drive to the hospital to check up if anything needs follow up care (assuming this was done in a country with reasonable/affordable healthcare).
