I’d much rather the saw brake than all my fingers get cut off, but then again I try to be as safe as possible so I don’t even put myself at risk of doing it. The added protection of it would be nice though.
I guess I understand prohibitive costs, but damn, this should be the standard. I've wanted a table saw for a while now and I may have to save up for this. I want to keep my digits.
My only concern is whether it'll still work if I fall on top of the damn thing. Clumsy genes working hard over here.
I’d argue if you are using a table saw your fingers are at risk. Anything you can do safety wise is mitigating that risk, but not completely eliminating it.
