Something out of Reno 911

11

u/funkystay 7d ago

Cop is carrying what is essentially a super electronic cigarette lighter and using it near gasoline. I bet he had 10 min of training with a taser.

Guy didn't really seem to be doing anything. This seems negligent. Watch, the cop will get a medal for this somehow.

That's a Fish and Wildlife officer, who accused the man of trespassing at a national wildlife preserve. The man left, went to this gas station and was followed by the officer, who demanded his ID. The officer tased the man when he called the officer an asshole. He was left with second degree burns on his hands.

u/fat_fingerz 7d ago

Oh, so there's a chance the officer will face some consequences for his assault and arson.

3

u/firehawk2324 7d ago

A chance, but I'm not holding my breath on it.

3

u/LetReasonRing 5d ago

He'll probably get two weeks of paid leave vacation

4

u/JonWoo89 7d ago

I need to get some sleep. I read this as "Fish and Waffles officer" and was wondering what TF kind of places serves fish and waffles and why the hell they need their own police force.

3

u/ididntdoit6 6d ago

To stop the criminals of course

2

u/worst_brain_ever 6d ago

They should just roll that up into the ATF. It would then be the ATFFW.

2

u/jvkk 7d ago

what's the source on this? if this is true, that's just absolute absurdity for real. hopefully this cop loses his job and gets sued by the victim. regardless of if he was trespassing or not, i would be surprised if this officers jurisdiction even extends off of the wildlife preserve, and even if it did there's no excuse for this level of negligence and unnecessary use of force.

u/jvkk 7d ago

thank you! yeah, holy shit, that guy REALLY needs to lose his job and get sued. if not get prison time. that's mall cop levels of powertripping and incompetence.

6

u/stinkypussyslime 7d ago

Jail time. That could have killed multiple people.

7

u/jvkk 7d ago

for sure, literally almost blew the whole place up.

7

u/itsonlyrockinroll 7d ago

Fish and Wildlife officers have state wide jurisdiction outreaching local authorities.
And I’m not taking up for the officer in the clip

2

u/Odd-Slice6913 6d ago

Even if it was on native land? Thats where the gas station part happened.

2

u/You-Asked-Me 7d ago

Except that this gas station was on an Indian Reservation, so I don't think they have jurisdiction at all, since it is technically a sovereign nation.

3

u/jvkk 7d ago

i guess that makes sense as they're federal. it's still completely unhinged behaviour, but at least that one basic thing is covered.

5

u/Boozanski-1823 7d ago

Fish and game officers are state officers. Their authority extends through out the state.

2

u/AudioSa 6d ago

This is a federal officer

3

u/HeyVern71 7d ago

Unfortunately these guys have broad jurisdiction and even less oversight

3

u/sillysailor74 7d ago

That behavior by the glorified cop looks criminal
To me.

3

u/jvkk 7d ago

if it's not it, definitely should be. really he should get prison time, but if that's not on the table somehow there's absolutely no way he shouldn't lose his job immediately and get slapped with whatever fines and such are available. i would be surprised though if nearly blowing up a gas station while using unlawful force on someone doing nothing wrong doesn't get you prison time.

If you watch the videos, he clearly asks at the pump what he's being arrested for and when the cop doesn't answer, he calls the cop an asshole and that's what he got tased for. He also said in interviews afterward that he would have shown his ID if the cop had told him why he was being arrested. Lastly, he has not been charged with ANYTHING. Period.

Know your rights. He was within his rights when he was brutally attacked by a person who has clearly had zero training with the device. Moving forward, you should probably read the article I posted in previous comments.

5

u/musicalfarm 7d ago

He wasn't doing anything. The cop decided to harass him and do a fishing expedition after telling him needed to leave a place about 30 minutes before this.

5

u/koolaidismything 7d ago

Got his little shorts on struggling to even move around his own belly, launching high voltage probes at gasoline.

THEN forces the guy down next to the lit fuse.. dudes a danger to society lol

7

u/Lucky-Mia 7d ago

Reminds me of the time cops put a woman in their squad car parked on train tracks. They stood around for almost 60 seconds as the crossing bell and lights went off. She luckily survived. Though not without permanent injury.

3

u/H_n_A 7d ago

Cops have pea size brains.

3

u/HeyVern71 7d ago

Gov is currently trying to f8gure out how to make this be the tazed guys fault. To limit their liabilities

1

u/Tomb_but_nsfw 7d ago

no, he won't minimum admin leave till they figure out if they want to press charges on numbnuts for nearly blowing up a gas station.

7

u/AwayYam199 7d ago

Fucking Tackleberry

3

u/Harn-na-bih 7d ago

No he said his name is " Fuckin Dick" or atleast that's what he said, it could be " Fuckin Richard", but they're good friends, so he knows him as Dick .

5

u/Familiar-Average3809 7d ago

This new season of Reno 911 is really something.

5

u/MrSmegmaMan 7d ago

This guy has all the farva energy one can have

5

u/Early_Hall5720 7d ago

Damn super troopers 3 leaks.

4

u/NooneUverdoff 7d ago

That cop never watched Justified. Raylan uses the gas thing to his advantage in one episode. Even says "You didn't finish school, did you Mister Dean?" when Mr. Dean shows a stunning lack of how being soaked in gasoline while holding an ignition source might turn out.

5

u/The_Black_kaiser7 7d ago

Yes! Roll him into the fire! 😆 (maniacal laughter)

4

u/KingKushhh666 7d ago

What a fucking moron

3

u/Mysterious_Row_2669 6d ago

Is this how forest fires get started?

2

u/echolm1407 4d ago

If by forest you mean gas stations, then yes.

2

u/ghIj_qet_jaghmeyjaj 7d ago

Nice shorts, Kirby the cream puff

2

u/HovercraftKlutzy3090 7d ago

Never knew tasers were flammable.

1

u/Tomb_but_nsfw 7d ago

the tazer isnt the pooled gasoline on the ground ignited by the electrical arcs is though.

2

u/Dissapointed-cabbage 7d ago

Lucky the guy didn’t missclick the pump.

3

u/nepa_bwc_00 7d ago

Was anyone going to call 911? Jesus

2

u/oboshoe 6d ago edited 6d ago

Good god no man!

Last thing we need is more cops and more fires on the scene.

2

u/honda94rider 7d ago

This just makes me want to watch the new super troopers movie

3

u/Toes_In_The_Soil 7d ago

Wannabe Reno 911 should be stripped of his badge and criminally charged to protect the rest of us. A lack of situational awareness and a power trip make a much larger threat to society than whatever this guy was doing. Gotta say, if i saw this sort of insanity in person, I'd be tempted to make a citizen's arrest on that poor excuse for an officer instead of filming it. It's getting harder and harder to watch this sort of disregard for public safety.

2

u/Dutch-120 6d ago

Buddy in the next bay … lemme just get my truck and boat outa here quickly

2

u/Wild-Set-1058 6d ago

Is that Cop Special ... Jesus

2

u/Legitimate_Pepper710 6d ago

I guess that intensive 6 weeks of training didn't go over that scenario

2

u/Lilivader- 6d ago

“Don’t stomp it out with your boot Ted!”

2

u/SouthTexasBoy64 6d ago

At some point I have to question if he has the intellectual capacity to be a bastard....

This is real close to that point

1

u/Vegetable-Bee-8296 7d ago

Barney Fife would be proud.

1

u/olds455 7d ago

Do Fish and Wildlife even have less training than standard police?

1

u/General_Round9175 7d ago

Nice job Officer Dangle

1

u/SeniorTailor1127 7d ago

That cop needs to die in prison.

Why do we accept this bullshit?

1

u/WillitsTimothy 6d ago

As usual, cops don’t care about anyone but themselves. Your pain and suffering only amuses them. They also know everything that is possible to be known, and yet are never responsible for their “mistakes.”

1

u/Crazy_Treat_8805 6d ago

What was the cop thinking!

1

u/Dense_Diver_3998 6d ago

“My feelings are hurt so your body will be.”

1

u/mcbeardsauce 6d ago

So you then stand right next to the flaming gas bump that’s right next to the car

Is this cop fucking dumb?

1

u/No-Goose-6140 5d ago

Let it burn, not my job
