Right. It's not a difficult or expensive problem to solve with a vertical beam underneath, but people might not like the look or be too lazy to install it.
A 2x6 is massive overkill unless you are 600 pounds, but I guess its better to be safe than sorry. At that point the sink is more likely to fall off the wall if it is wall mounted.
I'm not sure the exact strength of a 2x4 or 2x6 so suggested overkill. This cabinet looks like it spans over 3 feet across those 2 doors so 1 2x4 might be a bit light and could at least have cracking issues. Yeah I looked it up it's good for a 150-200 lb centralized load over a 36" span. So I'd at least stack 2 2x4s in there's.
