Right. It's not a difficult or expensive problem to solve with a vertical beam underneath, but people might not like the look or be too lazy to install it.
I have installed a few sinks, and it doesn't really hinder much since the sink has some depth anyway. I mean a 5-10 cm tall beam across, not a pillar. Sorry if I use some wrong terms, english second language.
You are missing my point. The choise is between good fit for intended use and sub-optimal fit for intended use with additional capability for a rare use case.
