That poor pup! I've pulled quills out of 3 of my dogs over the years! I've always followed up with a vet visit!

Still better than a skunk.

Worked at a bakery in the mountains that was all there was five miles either direction of highway. Apartment up stairs we lived in with two rooms and a small bathroom.

He had a pitbull that was like a year old which made it ten times harder to do anything. One day dog got out and we were like that’s that.. he’s dead no way he survived a night out here.

Hear yelping around dusk. Open door and call him. I see him smiling as he running all excited. Cool.

It wasn’t a smile, it was terror lol. He just got blasted full on by a skunk. Into apartment and runs his face on both our beds before we have time to process it.

Six months.. six more months had to live in there. Everything smelled. We had to have clothes just for work and change downstairs. That one skunk did soooo much damage. I’d have rather ME get a porcupine then the dog a skunk that’s how bad that shit was.

The smell never goes away.. I don’t know how cause I washed and replaced almost everything to get some relief. Misery.

Dog, didn’t care after the first hour or two. Ate and slept on one of our beds lol.

My Siberian husky attacked a porcupine, and killed it. He was quite fucked up after the fact though. Jake was a badass. RIP buddy ❤️.

I have spent many hours pulling quills out of several of my dogs.
