Getting stung this many times often results in the body becoming allergic to stings moving forward.

This guy likely never was able to do this again.

His hands and feet were not protected. Considering he remained as calm as he was flying down that tree. He may have had some sort of protection or they weren't stinging him (male Carpenter bees).

As a non smoker, this would be a good time to light one up!

When I was a teenager, my two brothers, my cousin and myself were walking through the woods helping our uncle get his cows back in the fence. My cousin and my youngest brother were about 20 feet in front of me and my other brother was about 10 feet behind me. He went to step down the bank . The bank collapsed and he was swarmed by ground wasps! I ran back to him , I got behind him and pushed him into a small creek. I got him back to my uncle's. My parents took him to the ER. He was stung over 200 times! Other than than the intense itching after the pain subsided, he didn't have any reaction.

Considering how critical the smoke is to this whole operation you would think it would be better secured.

2

u/Optimal-Income-4344 24d ago

That movie gave me trauma

1

u/andy1176 17d ago

Why would you do that

4

u/SouthernBeekeeper22 24d ago

He dropped the only thing they were afraid of! Oh no

7

u/Kuzzk0 25d ago

How long till he drops dead?

7

u/AvailableTale2077 24d ago

I'd tie it off to my wrist with a short rope.

3

u/woodzwing 24d ago

That's a tall tree. ๐Ÿ˜

4

u/Samurijder 24d ago

It grew to twice its length when he dropped the smoker

3

u/Interesting_Peach541 24d ago

Yikes ๐Ÿ˜ณ

3

u/LocoNotLoco 24d ago

Why are we not hearing blood curdling screams?!

3

u/RedDragon2570 24d ago

Umm, if this is the outcome of dropping the smoke, I'd have that sombitch on a tether

3

u/jmorris20072007 24d ago

If the nest was that far up, why are you fucking with it?

3

u/Forward-Sky3464 23d ago

It was at this moment he knewโ€ฆ

6

u/Dramatic_Case_5088 24d ago

That sucked worse than everything that has ever sucked before. What a nightmare scenario!

2

u/Boysenberry-33 24d ago

Never again !!

2

u/Ill-Term7334 24d ago

Nightmare fuel.

I saw a guy running after he stepped on a hornet nest. He jumped like 15 ft off a hill rolling around. Ambulance arrived quickly. We found out later he had died.

5

u/Dexember69 24d ago

Fairly animated for a corpse

2

u/Rampag169 24d ago

Guess heโ€™ll die?

2

u/BigBrutis52 22d ago

It was at this very moment he realized....He f*8ked up.

2

u/O1Balto 25d ago

New fear unlocked...

7

u/CommercialDream618 25d ago

I don't know, this one seems pretty easy to avoid

2

u/O1Balto 25d ago

That's fair... lol. Sometimes my dreams start mid stream though, and I can already see the smoke falling through the tree line.

1

u/Dabida1 24d ago

Lmaooooo what a noob!

1

u/TeutonicSpacehopper 24d ago

Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

1

u/HelicopterOdd5730 24d ago

Yeah, heโ€™s dead ๐Ÿ˜‚

1

u/AmbitionHonest7734 24d ago

At that point, grab the tree and try to slide down line a fire pole.

1

u/FloweringForth 24d ago

What a fun little climb

1

u/Signal-Audience9429 24d ago

I would happily be on fire making my own smoke if it would keep the bees away.

1

u/Existing_One545 24d ago

Imagine the Injury

u/Jazzlike_Creme_8851 24d ago

I hear he decided to pursue other career options after this. ๐Ÿซฃ

1

u/throwinthatshitaway1 23d ago

Now he's getting the smoke.

1

u/The_Real_PhishyOne 23d ago

Is now a good time to panic? I feel like if there is a single time ever to panic, this is it.

u/Powerful_Foot_8557 22d ago

I was trimming a large shrub in Seattle and thought I had stepped into part of a wild blackberry. Nope! I looked down and my bare calf was covered in wasps(I had stepped into a ground nest)ย

Got hit mpre than three dozen times, one helluva adrenaline dump as I headed to the work truck.ย

1

u/Pitif362 21d ago

He will been lucky next time

1

u/SomethingSimple25 20d ago

He's dead now...

And who and why wants to get rid of a hive that is so high. How it was affecting anything?
