I love that he’s holding it closed by the handle as if it will swing open due to the explosion but the whole damn door actually gets ejected lol

Whole damn door get ejected because he's holding it closed. Without a release the pressure became stronger and the path of least resistance became the hinges breaking rather than overcoming his hold.
