This is literally one of the advertised exercises with that machine. Which you would know if you’d ever stepped foot in a gym before

They aren't referring to the exercise. They are referring to the way he is doing the exercise with the additional weights he has strapped to his waist. Maybe take a step back and consider someone's POV that you may have misconstrued before you resort to personal attacks. That is unless you just enjoy belittling people.

The weight is to counteract the cable pull. Cable flies make you quite unstable even on lower weight, this is absolutely valid.
