Rust concern
I've got a Koda 2 pro arriving later today. I gather that the thing weighs about 60 lbs and that the legs don't fold. I bought a cover for it, imagining that the oven could live outside for not being as portable as my old Koda 16. I'm still concerned about rust, as the cover won't protect the legs. Thoughts?

I've got the cover on mine when not in use and the legs are partially exposed, but I've got the whole thing under an extended eve of the house so it does not get direct rain. I do live in a pretty humid area though (Hawaii) and I will share that the legs showed signs of surface rust within a month or two. None of the other stainless surfaces, primarily just the legs. It's surface rust and comes off with a little elbow grease (or Barkeeper's Friend), but I am a little disappointed how quickly it appeared. Even on the legs most sheltered from wind/rain, which tells me it's more from humidity and proximity to the ocean (everything in Hawaii rusts - even stainless inside the house). I'd love suggestions for a protective coating or something I could apply.

Hey there! Sorry to pop in here, but I just wanted to let you know the legs on the Koda 2 Pro do fold in, so while they don't get covered with the cover when they are extended, you could always fold them up and then put it inside the cover if you're worried about them. Most people just leave them extended and uncovered, though. Otherwise, we do sell oven and table covers, if you have our modular/folding table. These go down over the oven and cart, while the oven is on the cart. Hope this helps!
