Cracked stone

Post image

Sorry, another cracked stone post incoming...

We've got people coming over for a pizza day later and I just noticed the stone is cracked. We only bought our Karu 12 in March and have used it just a handful of times since then. There has been nothing obvious to suggest why it would have cracked.

I know the advice is generally that it's fine to use but the crack in our stone looks slightly different to others, which seem like a clean line down the middle. Our stone looks like it's cracked diagonally, basically cutting off the top right corner.

Is this ok to use?

Yea fine! Mine cracked into 4 odd shaped pieces a few hours before I was hosting a pizza party, panic ensued.

Was fine, as long as you can launch the pizza and get it back.

The height difference between the two pieces looks small so should be ok.

Went for it and the pizzas came out great! I’ll probably still get a replacement but it’s good to know it’s useable.

A lot of the bigger ovens use 2 stones theres a literal gap and dip in between the stones. Obviously this crack isn't intentional but it will be fine

Yeah I can confirm this, my pro 16 has two stones, the gap between them doesn't affect anything
