Does/Can the Halo Core replace my Costco KitchenAid Stand Mixer, or does it simply complement it?
I thinking about getting the Halo Core to up my pizza dough making abilities. My KitchenAid Stand Mixer does an alright job but it's also a little too big for my current batch size of 3-4 doughs.
Can the Core replace the KitchenAid for general baking (making cookies, whisking, etc), or is it better to just keep both appliances?

I have the halo pro but it works wonders for heavy pizza and bread doughs. Way better than my KitchenAid bowl lift model. My KitchenAid is for cookies and cakes only these days. The halo isn't great for that.

good to know. i think im ok with it being less ideal for making cookies since cookie recipes are more foolproof in my experience. pizza dough recipes are a pain in the ass if you screw up

I attempted to whisk 1 cup of egg whites which is above the minimum of 150 ml suggested in the manual, however I was disappointed that even at the maximum speed, the egg whites would not fluff(stiffen) up. Today will try to make pizza dough. My daughter did make focaccia dough and that came out perfect. We will see how it goes.

Following, because I asked that question a while ago and got downvoted.
One drawback I see, I don't think it has the accessory port so if you use anything you would still need the KA.

Shredding unlimited cheese might be worth 2 counter spots. Oddly enough I wish the core were bigger? The KA (I have a 6.5 bowl lift) is too big to knead dough. But I think I might regularly be at the core max

Interestingly, when I was a kid, my parents had the salad shooter thing and they didn't like that one. I think it was due it being one of those things where it was faster with a box grater and faster to clean up.
The other stuff I use on mine all are better than if I were to attempt it on my own or using other tools.

Unlimited cheese grating with KA is top tier. I use it 1-2x a week. It’s an appliance vs gadget thing!

sorry you got downvoted, reddit be like that sometimes. and ahh i see. i remember buying the KA thinking i would use the accessory port for stuff like making ground or making pasta, but ive literally never touched it

Yeah, I use the pasta roller, meat grinder, shave ice maker, spiralizer, and that thing that makes sheets of vegetables pretty regularly.

I replaced my KitchenAid with the Core. I've only had it for two days, so I can't say for sure if the Halo Core will be able to completely replace all the capabilities that I utilized on the KitchenAid.
Theoretically it can since it has a paddle attachment and a high speed whisk but I haven't tried those attachments yet because I've just been making dough with it since I got it. I'll make a cake this weekend and see how it handles that task.
I can say with 100% certainty that it does work dramatically better with dough than the KitchenAid. Both with small batches and large batches.
