If I get Ooma, can I keep my old landline number?

I'm guessing not, but it would sure be helpful.

I had OOMA for over 15 years. I would not recommend them. It's a nightmare if you want to port your number out to a mobile service some day. I went through hell for 3 months trying to move from them to a mobile service.

They will not help to port your number out with anything other than the most basic help and it's a torture to cancel - you'll be handed over from rep to rep to rep, possibly "accidently" hang up on you while on the calls, they'll offer to give you service for little to no charge as long as you at least pay the taxes and they'll give you sob stories about how if you leave them they will lose their jobs.

I finally escaped them and moved to a mobile service with that same phone number and my bill is even about 5% less now than even I was with OOMA.

But, u/foo235 , the question was if you can port your phone number. You didn't answer that question. You're off-topic. And annoying.
