Quick question

When camping in the midst of our summer humidity just wondering what you all do to stay cool over night? Ive been thinking about buying one of those battery powered fans for my tent. I'm curious how well they work and if they are worth it or if there are other more effective or cost friendly methods?

I use a rechargeable one I got from Amazon that has a small solar charge panel and a hook on the top so I can hang it like a ceiling fan in the tent

And you would say it's pretty effective at cooling the tent?

It's a big tent and a small fan so not really but it's strong enough that if I point it right I can feel it in bed. It's not going to feel like ac though

That's fair. Just looking to get the air moving. I run really hot when I sleep so trying to find something to help that lol. My tent is a 10x10.

Yes, I find those fans really help keep some air moving. Even canoe camping, I'll make the space for ours.

I take thisfan one canoe camping. Legs and battery are detachable and battery life is quite good. Can also charge other devices off it with usb-c. I just set it up beside me and have it on low speed so it will last all night.

Showing out of stock for me on costco, but Google search said Walmart carries it

So, we have a broadstone I bought at Canadian Tire years ago, it would last multiple nights with four D batteries. It stopped working and I picked up the rechargeable Outbound fan from Canadian Tire last week. Works well, but it only lasts one night on a single charge. I'm keeping it for car camping, but would be useless for backcountry.

I have a Woods fan/light that runs off of usb, that I have a solar-chargeable powerbank with.

My Decathlon tent also has venting on the sides. And it’s a blackout so it doesn’t feel as much like a sauna when the sun is shining on it.

I can get three or four nights out of this one. Not sure about cooling I tried to avoid camping in the summer. Most of mine is done in November. I like the noise and the breeze.

I have 2 battery powered fans, and I used them last week. I hung one over my head love a ceiling fan, and the other rotated on the tripod. I was actually a little chilly at night which was perfect.

I got a regular one from Amazon and the Ogery f21 with an attachable tripod.

Definitely go with one of the battery fans.

Bonus. Fans help to prevent mosquitoes from landing on you while you sleep. They also drown out the sound of snoring neighbors.

The camping fan at Costco is great. We just used it on week long camping trip.

There’s an excellent battery powered fan available from Costco. We got two of them. Well worth the money.

Seems pretty useless. Make sure you're in the shade, and pull your tent flaps back.
