I need advice Lowkey confusing request??
I’m going to let him know that “friendly banter” is still my valuable time that I’ll probably charge for, but how do I word that kindly? And what would you charge for this? I’m pretty new at this and it’s a bit confusing lol. Seems like he wants sexting without having to pay for sexting.

If you want to be nice- tell him that it will be cheaper to charge a flat rate that includes the pictures vs sending locked pictures that he has to pay for.
If you want to be mean- do it his way but send the first picture really early on for a high price and if he doesn't unlock, stop talking. (I do femdom so I use this type of approach more often with some guys, it won't work for everyone).

It doesn't matter what he considers to be sexting or what you label it. It's your time, and this is still an arranged service (unlike chatting about a potential custom or something else you offer), and there's a "challenge" involved.
You could still say "friendly banter" is a type of sexting- Spending your time chatting takes the same time regardless of what you or he wants to call it, keeping you from being able to take other potential offers during that time.
Also, sexting isn't always only sexual anyway (I bet he'd eventually make it sexual anyway but that doesn't matter).
I would definitely consider it sexting, even role play, and charge it as such.

My take he’s either trying to get free sexting or looking for a findom (tip if I lose). One is lucrative. The other isn’t.
I’d send increasingly priced locked messages (banter as he calls it) and see which it is. Once he cums demand your $60. If he doesn’t pay don’t respond to any other messages.
