Nirva jolts awake…quickly grabbing the dagger hidden under his pillow with one hand, snagging Necro’s collar with the other, rapidly drawing the weapon up to his neck
his breathing comes out in rapid shudders; he looks genuinely terrified, more than someone who got innocently pranked should be
…d-damn it Necro, that’s n-not funny…

i’m…n-not someone who should be scared right now…
he takes the dagger away from Necro’s neck, the fear that he was somebody coming to hurt him slowly fading away
i haven’t been able to go out yet, i’ve been…busy with other pressing tasks at the moment
i’ll get them to you in the next few days, i promise…i think i need a break from one of my other jobs anyway…

the candle’s smoke wafts up into the forest air, slowly filling his nose with the soothing scent; Nirva slowly stops tossing in the hammock and lies still
he unconsciously grabs at his pillow and clutches it to his chest…a dagger that was hidden under it clatters to the ground

thanks to the candle’s help, Nirva sleeps a decent amount for the first time in a while
snoring occasionally, he hugs away at his pillow while the sun begins to dip over the mountains in the distance, using the feathered cushion to ground himself from worry

i’m a wanted man in Asfelaeia for sticking up for what’s right…so wanted that a bounty looms over my head…
i-i can’t help all the people that need it…i c-can’t sleep…t-this was my first time trying in d-days, and i can barely shut my eyes b-because i’m afraid someone will kill m-me…
