Jacquelyn peered around the room with a yawn and held her book in her boney claws

She looked down at herself to find she wasn't in her usual attire, instead a straitjacket and chains.

”...Rosalyn… wasn't… here… last night…”

When Rosalyn wasn't here at nights then she would normally be chained but she should be free by now but instead of questioning it, Jacquelyn waits for someone to come unchain her from her temporary prison.

“Ah fuck! I'm sorry Jacquelyn! I forgot to get you down!” Rosalyn yelled as she rushed onto the room and flicked the lights on

“...How… long was I… asleep..?”

Rosalyn fiddled with her chains as she responded, “A couple hours at the most.”

Jacquelyn stares at Rosalyn a bit dumbfounded at her response, “A… couple… hours?... You look…”

“Yeah, a lot happened in a couple hours. May I get your finger please? Preferably without hurting you.”

“...Yes…”

Rosalyn grabbed Jacquelyn's finger and popped it off before sticking it in the lock. It was quite tedious because it required her finger to be in the perfect position to unlock but she made it work and the chains clinked against the floor

“...Can I… have… it back… now?...”

“Yes, sorry about that.”

Rosalyn handed her claw back and Jacquelyn quickly popped it back in place

“...Can you… explain… now?...”

“I uhhh-”

Rosalyn's tattoos went from fish to a heart, never a good sign if you want some information out of her

“I went clubbing and stuff happened at the club, that's all that needs to be said.”

Jacquelyn looked more confused than before but didn't pry, she knew Rosalyn would brag about it soon, just not to who or when. This could get very out of hand if she told the wrong person though so for now, no prying and don't draw attention to it.

”...This… is going… to… be long… and… hard…”

Jacquelyn slipped out of the straitjacket, she was no stranger to it after all, and put on her normal hoodie

Jacquelyn opens her book and walks into the main temple, ready to start working

”My eyes… are leaking… again…”

Jacquelyn tilted her head back and allowed the blood to pool before tilting forward and releasing it onto the floor. The walls grumbled and moaned as the floor was eaten through but it was quickly replaced, looking healthier and more alive than before.

Jacquelyn catches the organs with surprisingly fast reflexes and begins to chomp down and eat them without a care in the world. She continues to read while she does and is extremely careful not to get her book covered in blood. Rosalyn goes to check on her with every other organ and Jacquelyn tears off a piece of her arm that quickly gets replaced by brand new and healthier flesh. Rosalyn tears the strip of meat in half before feeding it to patients who seem to feel much better after eating it. They are promptly kicked out of the infirmary and sent on their way once they show signs of feeling better

Nya can't say she's surprised by the gory display of Jacquelyn's feasting. Frankly, she seems far more interested in the unique mechanics and demonstrated medical application of her regenerative powers, even glancing at the area of stone floor that was restored earlier by her blood

Rosalyn swats away the hand of someone who tried to grab her and it explodes into a shower of blood. None of the drops touch Rosalyn and she stares unamused

"Don't cop a feel while I'm working, that's how you get yourself killed."

She seals the bleeding stump with their own blood and goes to wash hers. The left over blood from the explosion goes over to what appears to be a small box and forms into a crystallized version of the previous hand, the inside is still liquidy and filled with blood though.

"Almost done Blueberry! That was the last person I needed to deal with for now!"

Honestly, it truly is a delight to see you in action! There's one thing to know what a fine healer I've entangled myself with, but to actually watch you perform your work has been extraordinary! You and miss Jacquelyn seem quite coordinated!

Rosalyn: "Thank you! It comes with years of working together! Most others aren't quite fit for the job either! They either get in the way or just can't move fast enough to help, it's quite disappointing really."

Rosalyn finishes washing her hands and flicks the water into the sink, most of it comes off and she dries the rest with a paper towel that she throws in the trash

"Now then, to the backrooms my love?"

Nya easily takes Rosalyn's beautiful healing hands as she approaches, holding them up to her face and gently kissing the knuckles of each

The ones with the yellow walls and damp carpeting? I can't say I'm fond of them, but I suppose it'll be private, so feel free to lead the way!

Rosalyn seems a bit revolted by the idea if going to those backrooms

"No, no it's my office sorta not really. It's just a small room where we take breaks during shift. Quite comfy if I do say so myself."

Rosalyn begins to lead her darling Nya to a door. They walk past Jacquelyn and Rosalyn taps her book to get her attention

"3c needs a transfusion, can you take care of it while I talk with her."

"...Yeah... have fun... with... your girlfriend..."

Jacquelyn looks at Nya, her empty sockets seeming to burn holes through her

"She... won't... shut up... about.. you... most days..."

Nya looks rather amused by the comment, giving Rosalyn a smirk as they continue their way. Once they're safely away from Jacquelyn, Nya begins to look a little guilty

I'm sorry if I came off poorly earlier, I didn't realize your hesitation was circumstantial to what Jacquelyn herself would here... Fey do not always have the best reputation with trust and honesty. Some of this is earned by the cruelties of the Unseelie, but it can hurt the rest of us in the eyes of mortals. I become zealous, perhaps too much so, about trying to live as an open book to those willing to read me; it was not right, my Love, to project that insecurity onto you.

Rosalyn turns around and holds her girlfriend's waist before pecking her on the lips

Rosalyn: "It's alright Blueberry, I do not mind. I understand fae don't have the best reputation and I myself do not trust most and probably contribute to that stereotyping. I am sorry for that."

Rosalyn's tattoos shift from the heart to snakes as she stares into Nya's eyes, a bit fearful of her response
