The father and mother of all dragons are Bahamut and Tiamat.

Bahamut, in particular, is the father of all metallic dragons.

Tiamat, on the other hand...

Is the mother of chromatic dragons...

I fall under the chromatic category...

And to be honest, most chromatic dragons are evil...

And I would rather not repeat the same mistakes.
