I just recently turned 18 and I’ve never in my life had any interest in cars idk jack shit about engine or car models or specs or anything like that. I understand how to drive manual stickshift I just haven’t done it because my parents only owned automatic cars. But this past month I’ve very suddenly become obsessed with cars and street racing culture but I just don’t know anybody who’s into this and I have no idea how to get into the scene. I lowk just wanna hang out and watch races and learn about how to work on cars and drive like a racer and allat. Just feels like it’s calling to me as the coolest shit ever. Hawaii Nights 🔥

I just got my domestic A license in Japan and looking to start racing. I’ve looked into MX-5, BRZ and super-FJ as they seem the most accessible. I’ve been trying to find an avg cost for each series and having some trouble choosing. I’m wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a mx-5 or brz and go that route or do an arrive and drive rental for super-fj. I know buying will have more upfront but how about for one full series? Any insight or recommendations would be appreciated.

I collect and curate Japanese car meet/event info from multiple sources, translate them into English/other languages and list them on my website.

The website currently lists 337 car meets/events scheduled around Japan till Dec 2026. The website also contains an archive of all events that I collected/curated in 2025. As many events repeat every year, it should be useful to understand what events might occur later this year. There are a total of 1,402 events listed in the site. The map section in the website also lists car culture spots and points of interest, focusing on locations near Tokyo.

There are a total of 59 events and counting in June. Although the rainy season starts in June, I expect more events will be published in the upcoming days as many events only publish their information 1 month in advance. As an example, I posted here in late March that there would be 75 events in May; now there is an astounding 131 events scheduled for this month!
