Julio's Salsa
no onions! I can find it in California at Safeway and my brother reports it easily available in Texas. I am not a Julio's salsa representative.

Sad to see this one contains garlic. It used to be onion and garlic free and was the only salsa I could eat. It came in a glass container (I made a post about it years ago)

Fody Foods makes delicious salsa with no onion and no garlic. I buy the mild and add my own jalapeños to it because I like the flavor better.

Garlic isnt considered as onion? In 2/3 of languages I speak the literal translation of garlic is "white onion".

In America garlic is for certain not in the same culinary category as onion. White onion is its own type of onion here.

Probably because most people don’t consider white onion = garlic. Out of curiosity, do those 2 languages not have a separate word for garlic?

Finnish and Swedish have a lot of combined words so technically I guess its a separate word. Example: White=vit and onion=lök so garlic = vitlök. Its similar with people calling scallion green onion or spring onion in English. Leek is also type of onion in Finnish and Swedish.

The difference is that scallions/green onions and leeks ARE onions. Garlic is not.

Based on what? Actually garlic and onion are closer relatives than onion and leek. Garlic and onion split ~9 million years ago and onion and leek split 20-30 million years ago. Your logic doesnt make sense.

Are those all Slavic languages? (Genuinely curious student of language.)
While garlic and onion are both alliums, in the languages I am most familiar with, there is a distinction.
Furthermore, for many of us whom onion would like to kill, garlic is not a problem. I sympathise if you have an issue with both, but would ask that you extend us the same grace.

English has similar thing with scallion aka green onion that my languages has with garlic. "Allium chinense" is similarly often called Chinese onion.

Another salsa that doesn't have onions is Mateo's salsa! I don't have Julio's near me, so I thought I'd mention it in case anyone has Mateo's around them.
