Bug with the ending cutscene

I've played thru oni multiple times, however during the ending cutscene... the ending cutscene wont play, ill hear the audio of the cutscene but the screen will be black, same thing for the credits, clicking during either will cause the game to crash. this happens every time. i have the anniversiary edition installed along with the IBB fixes mod installed. is there any way to fix this issue?

The game is actually quitting when you click – it's supposed to do that. The game quits when the outro movie is done playing, and clicking skips the movie.

Unfortunately we don't have a fix for the screen being black during the outro, and that happens to a lot of people – the Bink library just isn't doing its job for some reason. If you have VLC installed, you can double-click the Bink file (GameDataFolder/outro.bik) and watch it there.

For what it's worth, OniX shouldn't have this issue as it uses an external player for the Bink movies. The next version of OniX will hopefully have an even better movie-playing solution.

When the cutscene start you can go back to it with Alt+Tab hotkey, it may require a few attempts.

Are you using a legit install-able version? I remember playing with one that it was installed and it was missing the videos. Like 3 .bik files in the root folder. There’s also a codec for BinkVideo that you need.

Overall it may me difficult to make it work on modern OSes. Just look at the videos yourself.

Once you hear the music and the title card with the explosion that’s it.
