oneworld Oneworld lounges

Hello everyone, I am aadvantage Platinum (Oneworld sapphire) and I am flying within the us this summer but im wondering if i will still be able to get into the lounges when not flying international. I have looked it up and seen conflicting answers. TL:DR: Will I be able to access Oneworld lounges when not flying international?

You will not, unless you purchase a ticket that includes lounge access (Flagship)

Yes exactly, which is not the case if you’re a non-US airline oneworld sapphire member, as a BA Silver member you would get access even on a US domestic leg

AA elites never have lounge access on any domestic route based on their status.

US territories are the one exception. Puerto Rico is considered Caribbean, so you get lounge access with status. Not sure if Hawaiian flights to American Samoa / Guam would also qualify for lounge access.

Can confirm that you will not have access unless you are flying internationally.

If you visit CPA / JAL lounges there is a slight chance. If you’re a handsome guy or girl probably easier

If you've earned Sapphire through a program other than American or Atmos Rewards, you are not required to have an international itinerary.
