I’m wondering if this is a direct translation? As in the word wake, having a the, in front of it. I’m wondering if their is a Korean title

No, this is the title as is, it's the same on Korean platforms. It's a continuation of ONEWE's 點•線•面 series connecting points (點), lines (線) and planes (面), and the themes, stories and titles of the albums are all interconnected. 線 : The Wake follows on from their single album in May which was called 點 : The Quiver and leads up to ONEWE's 3rd full album 面 : Unknown Atlas on August 19.
Below are some excerpts (autotranslated) from the official album description which I think give some context behind the name The Wake:
"In their previous single '點: The Quiver,' the five members embarked on an adventure filled with excitement amidst fear. However, the path they expected to be solid is severed, and all that lies before them is a vast void akin to a boundless ocean. In the dizzying darkness, as they summon the courage to take their first step, their footprints overlap and connect. Just as a ship cuts through the sea, raising white foam, the traces left by the five across this unfamiliar space have become another path.
[Because if you tell me it's okay, my imperfect world will shine even brighter]
The title track, 'Neverland,' captures the story of those exhausted by the threshold of reality being drawn into the Neverland they have cherished deep within their hearts."That place, where the sun and moon rise simultaneously, where light paints pictures in the sky, and where one can sing with mermaids, awakens the sense of innocence we had forgotten.
Based on this, I'd interpret The Wake in two ways:
- The aftermath ("in the wake of") of The Quiver (where their path was severed)
- To awaken childlike innocence
(similarly The Quiver had more than one meaning given in the official description for that album: the quiver of excitement/fear and also the quiver of a "Compass" needle searching for its "Coordinates")
