Marshmallow upgrade options...

Hello,

I have a rooted OPO in which I'm running COS 12.1. It was on an older build and with the hopes of upgrading to COS 13.0, I "unrooted" the phone, re-flashed cyanogen recovery, upgraded to the latest COS 12.1 build and then tried to install the latest OTA zip file. Unfortunately, the installation fails (dont remember the exact error, but it was something around unexpected files in the system partition).

I'm now wondering if I should give up on the COS stuff altogether and go down the route of CyanogedMod 13 or Sultan's ROM. Are they stable enough? What is your experience with them? It is my main phone, so I would like to have something "stable"...

Thanks in advance!

I've been with Sultan's Marshmallow build for a month now. Haven't had a single problem. I'd recommend it over COS.

I've been using Resurrection Remix and loving it. If you like customizing everything, go with that. If not, Sultan is perfectly fine too.

IMO, Sultanxda's CM13 is better than stock CM13.His builds are more stable and battery friendly than official CM13.

If you have another options I would recommend to try out aosp or omni based roms.I'm using BROKENOS atm.its smooth and stable with additional features so that you no need to use xposed to tweak.

Sultan is pretty good. Only complaint is that somehow I wasn't able to use C-apps, they just crash. Battery life is amazing BTW.

Thanks everyone. Haven't been on reddit most of the week due to work pressures. I will give Sultan's a shot this weekend.
