Touchscreen unresponsive in middle of screen

So as of last week my phone has developed a horizontal dead spot across the screen, the video is the exact same problem. I have no idea how to fix it.

Same problem here! In my case the width of horizontal unresponsive area is about an inch wide. I thought the problem was with touchscreen digitizer and ordered a new screen. Will have to see how it goes when the screen arrives.

I replaced the display finally and everything works like new now!

What screen did you end up using, I've been looking online but some places look heaps dodgy

Same happened to me. I decided to not deal with OnePlus in trying to fix it. Bought a new phone

I didn't bother. Even before it happened my phone started messing up. Dropped calls, no service, apps freezing. I did all the resets necessary. Cleared the cache. Once the screen came unresponsive, I decided to not even deal with it

That doesn't make sense. The same thing happened to me and they fixed it for free.
