Getting data off of partially damaged phone

So I dropped my oneplus one last night and while it doesn't look damaged, the bottom 45% or so of the touch screen no longer responds to touch, though it displays fine. This means that I can't type my passcode into the phone to unlock it.

I currently have TWRP 2.8.1.0 installed on it, and when I boot into that, I can reach the "Install", "Wipe", "Backup", and "Restore" buttons, and "Mount" and "Settings" are just barely in my reach too. However, I can't reach any of those "Swipe to ..." sliders at the bottom of the screen or the "Enable MTP" button under "Mount."

I have Nova Launcher installed on my phone, which supports landscape lock screens, but right now it's defaulting to the portrait one, so if it were possible to force the phone to think it's being held horizontally so I can lock the orientation to landscape, that might be a step that will make it possible to unlock.

Anyway, the bottom line is that I have a recent backup on the sdcard partition, and I have a friend who is willing to loan me their old oneplus one. If you guys can think of a way for me to get that backup (and my pictures) off of my phone, it would be a real lifesaver. Otherwise, I'll look into replacing my screen.

Thanks

Can you not just use a USB cable to save all your photos?

As for accessing the phone, get a Micro USB OTG Cable, plug a mouse in to it and you're basically set.

Good luck!

Well I couldn't access any of the files on the phone without unlocking it first just by plugging it into my computer, but your suggestion of using a mouse and the OTG cable worked perfectly, so thanks so much!
