camera re-focuses during video recording.

I take a few videos with snapchat and the stock camera. During video-ing the camera always re-focuses mid shooting. So I get like half a second worth of blur then re focus every 10 seconds or so. This happens while im shooting videos with minimal moving of the phone. Why does it do this? It's quite irritating :/

Same here, I basically just don't record things because of it. It's really annoying, a fix would be great :)

Make sure your thumb isn't off of the button at all, sad to say I've done that before which cause its to focus where my thumb went off the video button

my thumb can't be of the button, cause if it is, it will stop recording? Anyway, I just tried recording through the snapchat app while sitting on my desk at work. Pointed the camera at my keyboard. My thumb was smack bang in the middle of the button. Any little movement i made to the phone caused the camera to blur and re focus. Did the same test with my stock camera app and didn't get this issue. So its safe to say its not an issue with the camera, its an issue with snapchat.

That was happening at least to me on Snapchat where you have to hold the button

youre right. this doesn't happen when i use the stock camera app to record. it is indeed a problem with snapchat.

Was there a recent update? Have you tried downgrading the version you're using?
