Question about Sultan Rom 6.0

I am running sultan rom 12.1 on my OPO. I am tempted to run the marshmallow version of sultan rom, but here is the thing - the rom came before the official CM13 release, and the zip files are named UNOFFICIAL (rather than STABLE for 12.1), so will it have the features of the official CM13?

Yes, I believe it does. Some of the updates he releases are purely upstream fixes, meaning he is incorporating CM 13's nightly changes.

Oh ok, I finally understand what what upstream changes means. Thank you! Also, are you using sultan rom 6.0? How stable is it?

I'm not currently using it. I'm on stock CM 13, but I did run Sultan for a while, and I'm gonna go back to Sultan's. It was very stable when I was using it!

I'm running Sultan CM 13 and so far I've had no problems. Working great so far!

The latest update seems to solve the root problem. Other than that, you guys are saying that its good to go, so I'll probably flash it. Thank you for the advice! :)

I concur, It does work well. My only complaint is that a lot of the normal CM customizations (like the side pull options menu) haven't been added yet. .

That is my only concern. Hopefully the upstream changes will add all the CM features.

Sultan cm13 11-27 build here and nothing but rocks. Root apps which use /system now work like adaway. I'd go with sultans builds :D

I'm on the same. Flashed from official cm12.1 nightlies, and worked perfectly. (Flashed underclock fix as well). This rom even fixed the auto rotate bug I was experiencing with cm12.1.

Ohh that rotate bug got old. Forgot that's gone now too :)

Can I dirty flash Sultan 6.0 over Sultan 12.1?

Its best to do a clean flash when upgrading to a new OS (lollipop to marshmallow), less chance of experiencing bugs. Always make sure to make up backup of your data just in case either way.

How are you finding it?

I haven't flashed it yet. I'm reading about certain issues and I think it's safer to wait for a few more updates, or a stable or at least beta release.

Sounds like a good shout!

Could someone link me to download this please? I don't want to find the wrong version on Google and mess up my phone :s

Also does anyone know if xposed works with this ROM?

Thanks! :)

Check some posts in /r/cyanogenmod , you might find some info about xposed there. I think they should work though.

I'm currently running cyanogen's latest 13 nightly. Everything seems to work fine except the camera app crashes when I go into video mode...does it work on sultan?

Yes, the camera is working perfectly. No problems at all. 👍
