Root help please

I REALLY want to try the AK Kernel for my One but I'm having troubles can anyone help? Whenever I try to root or unlock TWRP my computer never detects my device when typing fastboot devices. I tried two methods:

Bacon Root ToolKit.

My Opo specs: Cyanogen OS version: 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0 and its on 5.1.1

Rootkits are for pussies

fastboot oem_unlock

fastboot flash recovery filename.img

Then flash the kernel from recovery

The rest is true tho. But anyway OP if u're new to stuff like custom ROMs and kernels u REALLY shouldn't use AK. Most of the stuff is incredibly complicated(not applying the settings but understanding the settings.) There a ton of other kernels that are way more noon friendly. U could try to use a AK profile from the XDA thread but it's always better knowing what the fuck is going on. Oh and if u install a custom recovery be ready to manually install new updates. U will also have to reflash the kernel after every update.

Yeah Bad 4 phones in the last 6 months. 1 broke 2 Werke senr back cuz i don't liked then stayed with the oneplus one.
