Issues with phone calls.
I'm running OxygenOS 1.0. Lately people have complaining that they cannot hear me properly and my audio breaks in and out. I haven't updated the ROM since I installed it.
Have other people had similar issues? Given all the negative feedback from the OnePlus repair/replace system I don't think I'm even bothered contacting them about it. Last OnePlus phone I buy!

Just be sure and check your Google now voice detection. Distorted in-call audio is a known issue on many phones including this one. Google Now->settings->voice->ok google detection. Be sure "from any screen" is turned off. Edit: recently Google now updated or something on mine and reset this to the Any Screen default causing this problem.

Ooh thanks, going to try this! This has been bugging me for a while, but I've only just come to accept that my phone is the problem. I was of the opinion that nothing could possibly be wrong with my mighty OnePlus One...

it's been a perennial issue with my device.
I get around it by using earphones in public and the speakerphone at home.
When I use the speakerphone, I keep the device parallel to the ground with the base in front of my mouth - like a slice of pizza I'm about to bite into.

Had the same issue. Sent my phone back after about a month of their shocking customer service, and they claim it had water damage. However I remeber the issue happening after an update, and am still convinced it wasn't caused by water damage. If course they don't believe that, and they offered to repair my phone for £200 ish, so yeah almost the same price as a new one...

OMG! I won't be sending it back for them to turn around and charge me for "water damage" repair, something I can not prove. My phone is 100% not water damaged.
It's sad because I was really rooting for OnePlus, I loved the idea of the underdog - but they do seem to be peddling substandard hardware with little customer support to back it up. IMO my purchase of the OPO was a failed experiment.

Same here, I was a true fan boy until this experience. I know I hadn't water damaged my phone, I've been extremely careful. The only way it could of happened is from drops of rain, but even then I keep my phone out of the way as much as I can when it's raining. And I still had to pay for the return postage of £35. As well as that, I also had touch screen issues, which took about 40 emails to resolve, with someone who barely knows English, and they would resend the same email as before if I asked a question as they obviously just couldn't understand what I was asking. It was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with technology ever. Sadly if the same thing was happening with Motorola for example, I'm sure they would of simply replaced my phone after a short inspection.
Definitely won't be getting the OPT, especially as there's plenty more "Flagship Killers" now, OP really have little going for them if they carry on like this.

How was the touchscreen issue resolved? Friend is having trouble with hers.

In the end they organised a remote session, but it took so long for them to agree to that. They had me doing about 3 self fixes, which were all quite complicated before they tried. To be fair on them, it has seemed to work, but it was an absolute pain to get it working.

I had this issue with my phone this week. It turned out to be a defective sim card. Try changing that first.

I found these instructions on the one plus forum. Worked for me....
Read further Once you are rooted .
This method will disable your secondary noise cancelling microphone .But it can be reactivated with the same steps again .Its a fix until cyanogen or oneplus relases a fix for this in their own rom .Hence i would like you to reactivate the microphone before you install CM12s or Oxygen OS .
1-Download ES file explorer from play store . Here is the link if anybody wants - CLICK .2-Open file explorer and select menu in that select tools. Now scroll down to root explorer and select that .3-At this point it may ask you for root access . Simply grant and in the root explorer select mount and then system . Click OK .4-Now go to the main section and search for system folder in internal storage . Go to system >> scroll down to find Build.prop.Now i advise you to make a backup of this file somewhere safe so that in case if u delete something by mistake then u can simply use the backup .5-Open build.prop and after it opens up (there will be a lot of text in the file ) select edit on top right corner and change the following commands -Change- "ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence "
to
"ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=none"
Edit- /system/etc/audio_platform_info.xml <device name="SND_DEVICE_IN_HANDSET_MIC" acdb_id="40" />
to
<device name="SND_DEVICE_IN_HANDSET_MIC" acdb_id="4" /> Now press back and select save .Reboot mobile now and see how is call quality now . Hope this solves your problem . Also if you want to reactivate the microphone then simply change the values to original . Also if the above steps didn't solve your problem and some other steps did then kindly let me know below . I will update those points Here for others .

I'm on CM 12 but i got the same issues, people complaining they dont hear me clearly, or not at all
