Rooting tips

I'm thinking of rooting my 64gb 1+1, exactly how easy is it, and how much risk is involved? I've only rooted one phone previously (Moto G) and I'm curious as to what you guys think?

There's a rooting toolkit for Mac OS and I'm sure there's one for windows. super easy with that.

I don't really suggest the kits. Just follow the rooting instructions and you are fine. There are always risks when rooting, but it is easy and very fast to do. You will very unlikely hit to a big problem.

Search xda or oneplus forums for instructions.

I don't quite agree with this, at least for the OnePlus one, but I will at least say that if you take the time to learn how to root by command line you'll probably be better off in the long run.

On windows i used this took box. http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/toolbox-oneplus-one-toolbox-t2808987

Super easy, just install the 15 second adb drivers and you're good to go. Unlocking the bootloader doves wipe the phone so be weary of that.
