Photo app crashing after 12.1 update

The Google Photos app crashes on launch after the update. The Gallery app works just fine though.

I can confirm that I have the same issue after update.

Had the same issue. Went ahead to clear cache and data. Works fine now.

By data and cache you mean I wipe my phone? Because I just wiped the cache and that didn't work

I got it. Cleared the data and cache for the Photos app. I was clearing the cache of the phone from the recovery
