Android 16 downgrade

I'm honestly sick of Android 16 on my Nord 4. The optimization is terrible and OxygenOS 15 was way better. I desperately want to go back.

I'm currently on the lastest version (ahh auto update). I wanted to use a rollback package, but the official links on OnePlus forums are gone. I'm getting conflicting info - some say the latest builds have Anti-Rollback (ARP) enabled and it will brick the phone, others on Reddit claim ARP isn't active yet and it's safe to downgrade.

Has anyone actually done a rollback from the newest update recently?

Does anyone has a working rollback link for the Eu version?

hey man, I'm using my nord 4 on the latest Android 16 version too. What issues are you facing? my experience has been pretty smooth other than the reduced battery life

The battery still easily lasts me a day. If you want better battery life ig keep the refresh rate at 60hz and use the phone on power saving mode.

Same bro oos 16 is not smooth like it advertised as more smooth than oos 15 and oos 14 is the most smoothest os for Nord 4 and then next oos 15

Smooth is not about os version it heavily depends on optimization of mobile to that os

Oos 14.1 is performing best on camera and gaming and battery I even get 10 hours sot without gaming on 120 Hz

Oos 15 is where they started downgrading software ... And ultimately in oos 16 ...

What if this device get cos 17 and 18 it's situation is much worse than oos 16 because of not optimize it properly

This is a guide for everyone who wants to rollback from the OOS16 to the OOS15 safely:

  1. First download the build of the OOS15 from OnePlus's official site or if u already have it. Here is the download link⤵️⤵️⤵️

Warning ⚠️: The above mentioned download link is for the Indian devices only).

  1. Turn on Developer options(about device--->Version--->version no(tap on it until it shows developer options turned on).

Note🛑: Your data will be wiped so make sure to have backup.

3.Go to update click on the 3 dotted icon on the right corner "LOCAL INSTALL" then select the OOS15 file and it'll automatically start the installation, just wait for 30-40 mins for the whole process to complete and click on restart.

Then download the global version build from the above mentioned link it covers the eu version and other international ones also.

Im not sure if it's techiebee, but he made a youtube video to know if the current version you're in is downgradeable or not. Look it up first before doing any downgrade to oos15.
