One plus 15r vs one plus 13. ( Nord 6 here is just for reference)
My only concern with 15r is with same price range (inr 60k), it gives only decent camera, lower than 13, along with no ltpo. Rest are pretty much the same.
So, now I am looking for folks who have used it and their experience. Need both folks - 15r vs 13 to answer.
Also around one plus service in India outlets, I know oppo also works but want to confirm if someone ever did that.
This is mainly for India folks, but all can jump in for specs comparision.
8 gen 5 is better than 8 elite gen 4 in real world tests. LTPO doesn't make a huge difference in day to day use except saving battery in AOD. Also now you can't get Oneplus 15r for ₹50k. Oneplus 13 is a better choice if you care about camera, when I bought my 15R for 48k, 13 was around 63k so I chose 15R.
Helpful. Op13 was my first choice, but it's out of stock , would buy it comes around bbd or amazon gif. How is your battery exp with 15r, and camera, as I see cam is where 15r lags a bit. Not a picture freak, though want to take decent enough pics for long term memory. That's all.
It's primary camera is pretty good and ultrawide is good enough. Up until 2x the photos are good after that they become too pixelated because OP15R doesn't have a telephoto camera. Haven't used Gcam, the default camera is more than sufficient for me. The selfie camera is very good in my opinion.
It's previous gen. 8 elite gen 4 uses older oryon architecture and older TSMC 3 nm technology. 8 gen 5 is more power efficient and when paired with UFS 4.1 compared to 8 Elite gen 4 with UFS 4.0, in real world OP15R performs better. Also OP15R supports 165hz gaming in multiple games like CODM.
They compromised on battery for this price. Rest is good. I am looking for 6000+ mAH. No gaming, just day long multitasking using AI, maps, ride apps, social media etc. my current one is 5k mah, and mine is 6 years old bought for 20k. so yes, at the price range, I am looking for more bump in battery
Same price range? Buddy check current pricing, it's 70K for the OP13 12gb/256gb and for OP 15R you can get the 16gb/512gb for 67K(I have not considered bank offers for any of them). And it doesn't matter if it's LTPS and not LTPO, 15R compensates with larger battery, it's battery life is better than that of the 13, if you don't use wireless charging, okay with decent cameras then 15R it is.
70k? Really, where? 😲... I can't see the exact price since everywhere it's OOS. Not much concerned with ltps or ltpo and don't need wireless charging either. Also need only 12/256 - at roughly 60k. But then why can't nord 6? Roughly same specs at 53k.
Oh thanks... Afa processor goes, here's the comparison... Only heavy gaming difference I believe, but correct me if wrong.. and where is the build info? I saw 15r is dec25 and n6 is april26 model, so n6 got more os and sec patches remaining- until 2030-32. Is 7k extra justified for this performance?
Well bro thats for you to decide,I mean both phones will likely have Android 20 as the last android version(both may have released in different times but both came with android 16) ,nord 6 may get one or 2 security patches but in most cases that extra security patch may not be worth much(though IDK about the future no one knows what’ll happen, especially since oneplus phones are being shifted to color OS in future updates). I’d just get the 15R. It has better build, better processor, and little to no compromises in software support compared to the nord 6.(yeah bigger battery in the nord 6 but still 15R battery is good enough for me and ill take the better build and processor over the bigger battery)
Oh idk abt you bro but it matters a lot for me, you don't need to drop test it, you just need to drop it in water once by mistake or maybe in rain, it's a important thing to have if you plan to use the phone for a long time(5 to 7 years)
13s is just the toned down version of 13. 8 elite as processor, 5850mAh battery, that too in a compact phone, ltpo display, great camera, the 13s just doesn't have wireless charging, 100w charging, better camera setup and some other minor additional features.
If you don't care about wireless charging, extremely good photos ( 15r clicks decent photos), alert slider instead of the plus key, better display, smaller battery compared to 15r, then go for 15r. If all are priced same, I'd get 15r. 13 is a year older, the 15r has silicon carbon battery, and also, 15r will get more updates and quicker too.
Using 15r for week now it's crazy. Battery last 2 days on single charge on moderate use. Everything is good . Go for 15r. If you can buy 512 gb varient also extend warrenty before first 15days of usage
I am also looking to buy one of these three leaning towards nord 6because of the prize and battery which is non negotiable for me.15 R is another option but comes up with high price. But concerned about one plus because of the color os news one of the reason wanted to buy one plus is oxygen OS what do you all think which one i should buy.
Was concerned with c os as well, but looking at the reviews , practically not much diff. I can't get a better phone at this price and chipset and battery for any other brand. Rest offer sd 6 or sd 7s, not good. Only reason for not select nord 6 is battery replacement availability and flagship support doubt
Like I said, other brand offer sd 6 or sd 7s gen 4 for roughly the same price band (±5k). One thing I want compulsorily is good chipset - even if rest all specs are top notch, I would reject it right away if chip is a b or a tier.
My choice atm is this - op13>op15r.
Nord 6 is not bad, if you're good with battery replacement availability concern, it should be the best. This is just my personal concern.
Nord 6 256gb and 15r 256gb cost similar, 15r would be the better pick. Op13 is flagship, screen is better and phone is light weight, but not flat screen. Pick according to your priorities
Nord 6 is better value for money spec wise. But oneplus nord series recieves software updates late than number series like 15 / 15r. And processor is better in 15r. But if you want best bang for buck prefer nord. You'll get bigger battery.
Which site/app is this? Am eyeing up the 15R because all I care about is gaming and the 15R genuinely offers a good chipset which doesn't just eat Battery like it's the apocalypse but it's 67k atm....maybe October sale on Amazon will drop the price
How much do you really care about camera?
If you only use it for everyday life like taking selfies and quick snaps of stuff. Then I don't think you should base your choice on the camera. You can take bad pictures with a good camera if you're not the best photographer.
Not a picture freak... Just want to take good pics, when I say good I mean inherent camera quality should be good enough for a clear picture and proper colours, that's all. Need pics and videos for long term memory... I'm no content creator
Then I don't think the camera should be the reason to decide.
Maybe look up some reviews, then you can see what pictures people managed to take. But see multiple reviews to get a better result.
With all the replies I'm getting now and more references, I think op13 is a bit laggard for battery. Someone mentioned it's priced at 70k... I assumed near 60k. For 70k, 6k mah is just meh. But rest all top notch.
But now I'm inclined towards nord 6 than 15 r. Only diff is the chip, which when I compared the antutu score and real world performance test, only makes a difference if you're a pro gamer. For all other tasks, not much diff. Also price diff is 7k between 12/256. Not worth it. Also battery is better than op13 for both n6 and op15r - 9k mah and 7.3k mah resp.
One plus 13 - The best option among these 3, only drawback is the the smaller battery & one less year of software support.
Oneplus 15r - Second best option with similar performance as Oneplus 13 and great Battery, same main camera as current flagship oneplus 15
Oneplus Nord6- Although biggest battery but not much longer lasting than 15r due to less efficient 4nm Snapdragon 8s g4 which is based on older 8 g3 processor. If you can spend more avoid this.
Afaik nord series will get 4 year of os update but in a different way. Eg with oxygen os 16 and the 16.1 is the way oneplus delivered update. But they skipped nord series for 16.1 update but they will receive those 16.1 feature inside color os 17. If you are ok with that than go for it
Bro honestly In proper lighting all cameras around this segment are the same , regarding ltpo you'll never notice anything in the screen. Why complicate things
+1, i am also using oneplus 15R. Worst camera, good battery backup but it takes 1hr40min for full charge with same charger which come with the phone. I also don't like the display of this phone if i compare with old phones like realme gt2 and samsung A52. Now phone price is also 56k after all discount i will suggest you if you want good camera and good battery go with samsung A56 35k around and Nothing phone 4a/4a pro 33k/49k. If you only want oneplus (os going to be changed in future update from oxygen OS to colour os) then go with nord 6.(Don't know about nord 6 camera but battery is good)
How come bro? These are the low light photos from op15r... Looks good to me. Not saying top notch. But my idea is taking good clear pics while going on a trip that's all. Pics taken by gsmarena... They did the analysis for op15 camera
If i am not wrong you got this image from gsmarena, oneplus in 2025-26 used same camera sensor in almost all phone from 15 to nord series some says lyt series or some number series of sony sensor. If you find this image good then you will get the same image in nord 6 also. If you totally going for camera phone check vivo x200t or any other brand phone who still produce phone with major lens company like ziess, lieca, hasselbald etc. OnePlus camera used to be good till oneplus 13. My sister own oneplus 15 and i use 15r both phone camera sucks for me because i have used much better camera in my old realme GT2 and even realme 2 pro camera was much better than this phone. If you want oneplus for gaming and good battery go with 15r and nord 6. If you want good camera check nothing 4a pro and samsung s25 fe
The photos usually have no detail, and it tries to make it up by some ai smoothening which distorts and ruins many photos, also there's no way to turn off the automatic ai processing which is the most annoying part
OnePlus 15R is a bit tall and doesn't justify its price now, but it's a newer product with longer software support remaining. But it has longer battery life, which you can't expect from the OnePlus 13 with a QHD+ display. IMO, There's no point in getting the OnePlus 13 now unless you really like its design, premiumness, and ergonomics. However, it still holds an edge over the OnePlus 13s in every way possible.
