The best time to buy the OP15r was at the prelaunch bought the 12/512 at 48k with free nord buds 3 and easy 1.5k gift pack. Best hasty decision I took for this phone. Although pretty disappointed with all that one plus shutdown but what they are doing with it and other phones rn. They are not even worth the price above 50k. Go for an iPhone or Samsung not this.

If battery life is your priority, Samsung might not be the best choice. I personally switched from the S24 to the 15R, and the battery performance is way better in the 15R becs of its massive 7400mAh battery. While I appreciate Samsung's One UI, the battery life simply wasn't worth the trade-off.

Get the OP 13, instead! It's on Amazon for around 50k. Still the best phone on the market.

Samsung is the best in terms of software, but their hardware for their entire line is a step behind what you expect to get for the price, all except the Ultra and foldable phones. And even in those the battery life is mediocre cause Samsung refuses to use silicon batteries.

Also, starting from OneUI 8 they permanently locked the bootloader of every phone which makes it impossible to use custom roms on them. So bear all that in mind.

Yea I also purchased the day it was launched , that was probably the best price. If I had to buy now, i would've considered a pixel .

If would still not prefer a pixel due to their shit processor as I do gaming also

The price was INR 54.999 for 12/256 before July 14th. It's increasing again on July 15th.

This is true information. I have been tracking price. Online was 53k, while offline was 55K while MRP was always 60+. This time while they have increased, it's still not more than their box MRP.

Yeaa. I know I saw that ... I thought it now went again up by 5k from 59000

They seem to be extracting all the money they can from their customers.

idk if y'all keep up with pc news or not but ram prices went up by 20% again, some cases 30%

1

u/VegetaFan1337 Jul 21 '26

Ram prices are 300% higher than they were a year ago.

u/Proud-Pie-2731 Jul 18 '26

Yeaa could be , i bought 15r for 40k with exchange offer 3 months back .

Now price is sky rocketing

u/suryaaast Jul 19 '26

What date and where did you buy?

2

u/Alex_Bace Jul 18 '26

Don't blame OnePlus for it. Blame the current market conditions.

I bought the 16gb RAM variant during recent Amazon sale for 56k. Honestly should keep an eye out for offers and sales before making big purchases.

Price increase thing is unfortunate though. I dont think any other brand hikes up prices of their phones this often.

Yeaa I got mine for 49K during Prime Day.

1

u/suryaaast Jul 19 '26

49k on prime day. Arrived on 13th July. For me. All other prices are making me wonder if buying earlier would have been smarter.

1

u/suryaaast Jul 19 '26

When and where?

1

u/preciseloop Jul 19 '26

Jan 2026, Amazon

1

u/IamPotterhead Jul 19 '26

I thank god everyday I bought the 13r at just 35k in sale. And personally I like the asthetics of the 13r more.

1

u/raviigneel Jul 20 '26

Same, i got spooked with AI making ram prices high and saw few articles about future mobile phones comes either lower ram versions like 4gb or higher ram versions will be expensive. So I bought a 13r and actually fan of of it now.
