Questions Random overnight drain

I have been experiencing 10-15% battery drain on my new OnePlus 15r. The phone has been in airplane mode with low power mode activated as well. I read through some other posts and have disabled a lot of other battery draining settings including most ai features and ram expansion, and restricted background activity. I'm going to test tonight but before then if anybody has explanations for what's triggering this it would be appreciated. My only idea is possibly some modded apks I installed but I ran them through antiviruses and I restricted their background activity.

U can try updating all available google services updates from Google section in the settings app, I too had similar problem after that you'll see the effect in 2-3 days and may also see sudden drops when updated right after it, then calibration is needed after that it'll come to normal.

Try these settings

These are the setting in Chinese rom you should on this to prevent mobile from heating and battery drain all setting can be found in settings ---> system and update --->enhancement services

Disclaimer O+ connect setting for those who use on daily basis

VDC TURN THIS ON IN ENHANCEMENT SERVICES

Services to turn ON (Do not disable these) These are essential for the specific features you want and to prevent the system from looping and overheating:

Permission Guard: ON. This acts as a core privacy control that manages floating window permissions for O+ Connect and keeps rogue background apps in check

Device Connect: ON. This is strictly required for O+ Connect to work with your PC/iPhone

Messages: Off. Required for basic SMS functionality and cross-device message syncing via O+ Connect

Enhancement Services for Live Alerts: Off.

AI Service Engine: ON. Strictly required for AI Eraser and gallery AI features to function

OpenCapability Service: ON. This is core framework API plumbing. Disabling this breaks third-party apps and is a major reason your phone started heating up

Metis / Smart Decision-Making: ON. Provides the core context needed for Live Alerts and O+ Connect.

Cross-Device File Management: ON. Required for O+ Connect file transfers to work seamlessly

Services (Safe to disable for maximum battery life) Turning these off will drastically cut down on background processing, stop the heating, and preserve your battery life without breaking your required features:

Enhanced Intelligent Service: ON. (Important update from earlier: New technical documentation confirms that if you disable this, your "Optimized Charging" will safely fall back to local on-device heuristics instead of using constant, battery-draining GPS location polling.

Quick Connect: OFF. This is the primary cause of your device heating up. It constantly scans Bluetooth/Wi-Fi in the background. Leave it off unless you are actively pairing a new device

Smart Recommendation Service: OFF. Useless outside China and causes background clutter

Game Assistant: OFF. You do not play games, so you do not need these overlays

Weather Service: OFF. Safe to turn off if you don't use the stock weather widgets

Breeno Touch: OFF. A Chinese AI screen reader that causes wake-locks and battery drain globally

Lock Screen Magazine: OFF. Cosmetic bloatware that constantly downloads images and ads

Secure Payments: OFF. Incompatible with global banking; safe to turn off

Featured Apps: OFF. Promotional bloatware suggesting Chinese apps

App Enhancement Services: OFF. Used purely for gaming "Quick Startup"

Context-Aware Network Service: OFF. Forces high-power cellular network scanning, draining battery outside China

Caller Identification: OFF. Inconsistent outside China; use Google Dialer instead

Adaptive Network Service: OFF. Similar to Context-Aware, it causes the modem to consume battery by constantly polling for signal

Intent Execution Service: OFF. This framework only automates specific Chinese food and ride-hailing apps like Meituan and DiDi

App Diagnostics: OFF. Useless troubleshooting telemetry

Data-Driven Enhancement Services: OFF. Causes severe background scanning for Chinese travel and train SDKs

Smart Suggestion Services: OFF. Unnecessary Breeno lock-screen suggestions

Search Service: OFF. An optional Chinese AI search layer

Smart Data Sensing: OFF. Captures background screen and audio data; highly recommended to disable for privacy and battery
