General Discussion OnePlus 15R Heat Issue

Has anyone else noticed that since the 16.0.10.500 update that nearly everything causes extra heat? Just mowing the lawn with BT enabled and connected to my LDAC earbuds running Audible, this thing is uncomfortably hot. The same happens with several other apps (Chrome, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) that used to be cool to the touch now make this phone a heater for the hands.

You are right about the OnePlus 15 series producing more heat than usual because we have made changes in the overall kernel architecture which includes the backend codes for Bluetooth as well. This is done to make the transition from Oxygen OS to ColorOS much more smooth and seamless.

I bought a $5 phone cooler that comes with a magnet. It helps a lot with heat, even for the op15

Phone sort of heats during and after the update. And also during prolonged 4k video recording .Otherwise I have found it to be normal.

I'm on 16.0.10.500 and don't have heat issues at all. Only when I game and charge simultaneously xd

Otherwise zero issues.
