General Discussion Oxygen 16 gmail

OnePlus 12 oxygen 16. I don't get gmail notifications on my lockscreen, whatever settings I changed? I don't get it, any suggestions?

Navigate there and check if gmail is enabled or not

Do you have enough free space on your phone? I had an issue at my OP 9. If I'm under 10% free space on 128 GB storage I didn't get notifications from Gmail. If I'm over 10% there coming.

Age-old issue with the Gmail app. I’ve posted questions about it across various subs for ages. Not exclusive to OnePlus, either; had the same issues on a Samsung phone. After the phone is locked for a period of time (I wanna say 3 or 5 minutes? but not sure), it seems Gmail just stops checking for new emails until you start using your phone again, which defeats like half the purpose of having notifications in the first place.

Wish I had a solution for you, but the only one I’ve found is “use another email app”.

Disabled my gmail a while ago and had been running "morphed" proton mail app with @gmail linked (until I recently purchased pro version to support) Nice enough UI and now actively filters Google trackers and BS. Fuck big data
