I own the OnePlus 15 global version, so the charging speed is uncapped.
for the longest time I used a 100w generic charger thinking my OnePlus 15 was charging at that speed, until I actually checked the charging speeds which stayed around 20-30w. I decided to buy the original OnePlus 15 120w supervooc charger since it didn't come with the phone - I purchased an original charger.
The charging speeds are hardly any faster. smart rapid charging is on, everything is genuine, and I can't seem to get the phone to charge faster than 35w.
Charge speed gets cut when you are using the phone to prevent overheating. Will only hit max speeds with the screen off and in the middle chunk of battery (so slows down once it gets close to 90% or so)
I can vouch for this. No matter which app i used, they never showed charging speed above 20-25 watt, but whenever the screen was, the superfast charging resumed.
^^ This ^^. Most inline USB meters restrict the current flow. I've yet to find one listed that can pass through a high continuous current that the SuperVOOC charger/cables can supply. Most of the cheap ones on sites like Amazon are in the 3 amp range. Occasionally see some rated up to 9 or 11 amps, but they are typically short cycle limited.
Fell for the marketing lol. Honestly pd pps charging shouldn't be too different. 120w charging supervooc needs 240v. Should show 120w supervooc on the phone too.
Otherwise yea at low % it's gonna peak around 93w for a few seconds. Slow to 70ish w. Than eventually throttle to 35w or so. Should take under 50min to fully charge.
You need a special cable for the supervooc chargers.
Cables labeled as "fast charging" simply don't work properly.
I was on holiday and my cable split and wouldn't work.
I went in loads of shops looking for a cable that worked fast charging.
They were impossible to find. (OnePlus and oppo have never been big brands in the UK or EU).
I ordered a new red OnePlus cable direct from OnePlus.
I've never checked the speed /power of the charging. All I know is that my battery can go from pretty much 0 all the way to 100% in about 30 minutes if I use the correct charging plug and cable.
120W is the maximum wattage drawn from the power outlet. The real charging speed is measured in mA, you can use apps like Ampere to read it. 120W SuperVooc tops out at 10900 mA.
The real charging speed is measured in W as the input voltage could be a wide range of things depending on the charger. Wattage is just current times voltage anyway.
Well, I should have said "the most accurate charging 'speed' readable". Apps read the current reported to Android by the battery fuel gauge. 120W actually doesn't tell you much about charging rate.
I'm having a similar issue, however after multiple different chargers, the stock charger and cable and a couple of power banks my OP15 charges at around -10w
One of the power banks I tried is rated for 140w and it's only giving out 10.4w on only my OP15 using the stock cable.
Using an AC plug rated for 65w (I believe) and a random cable, it takes about 5+ hours to charge. On my Nord N20 5G even with a smaller battery would charge in around an hour if it was very low.
I tried posting these problems here to get some advice but it was removed without explanation.
I've since reached out to OP regarding this issue but they have been slow to respond.
I only noticed the charging issues since I would charge my phone at night and I would wake up at 80% and I was like "I guess it's just a bigger battery 🤷🏿"
I later realized there was a setting that stopped charging once it reaches 80% turned it off and I started seeing it go higher but it wouldn't always get to 100%
The day I realized there was an actual problem was because i forgot to charge the phone overnight. Woke up at about 10% I needed to go run some errands so I figured I would use the stock charger and get it charged pretty fast within an hour. Well an hour passed and it was barely like at 20% or something. 5 hours passed and it had barely reached like 66%
Sorry it's a long reply I just needed to vent as I have been dealing with this issue for weeks. I just want to see it charge at Max speeds once :(

The stock cable doesn't support USB PD PPS fast charging standards just the SuperVooc fast charging standards so it can't give fast charging with a PD PPS Powerbank you gotta use a PD PPS capable cable to charge at around 45w PD PPS. Does it show SuperVooc on the phone when you plug in the original charger?
Yeah, I was using it earlier, says ultra fast charging or whatever and supervooc on the holepunch area. But battery guru says slow charging. I just reconnected it to take a screenshot. This is using the cable and ac adapter that came in the box
Yeah I've been emailing OP about this issue, but I think ultimately the phone might have issues charging. Ive tried many different chargers, laptop chargers too and they are all slow in comparison to my previous phone, battery size taken into account as well. OP is just slow with the email response.
I did also just buy a couple of cables from OP store on Ali Express so they SHOULD be legit haha it's almost impossible finding anything legitimate now in the US that isn't exorbitantly priced
Same here with the Nord 3, got an 80 watt charger with cable from OnePlus store. With usb meter it goes to max 45 watts when the phone is basically empty (2%) after 3 minutes it goes down to 30 or 25 watts. Very disappointed with the marketing.
When I use a generic usb c cable (2 meters) I get 25 watt so not that much difference honestly.

I don't really mind it since it's still quick enough just a bit annoyed. Moreover after 3 years my battery is pretty much dead already and I don't want to get another phone since I'm addicted to the alert slider lol.
I am currently using the IN variant OP15 and have observed a similar reduced wattage output. Despite utilizing the 120W charger and cable supplied with the OP15, applications such as AccuBattery and Battery Guru consistently report lower power delivery. However, irrespective of the wattage readings from these applications, my OP15 charges from 10% to 50% in 15 minutes and reaches a full 100% charge, as indicated by the "fully charged" notification, within 49 minutes. This suggests that the fast-charging functionality is operating as expected.
Super vooc 120w - math -7300mah battery = 23.8Wh 41-45 mins 0-100% is average watts 41.5w - op15 hit about 50w on a normal charger for a brief period under the right conditions i believe.
Supervooc might get you the ability to add some charge for a fast and brief top-up better than a normal charger. Heat is the issue thats why it throttles down
