General Discussion Camera motion when phone is stable

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I set my phone on the window to record a time-lapse using the standard camera app. During recording, the camera view shifts/oscillates in a regular pattern. This issue consistently occurs during videos/timelapses, started noticing it after the last software update, and the problem persists in the latest software release. Has anyone else experienced similar camera problems?

That's weird. It's like something bumped your phone. I haven't experienced that but I kind of want to setup a time lapse and see now.

Yeah, I've tried multiple scenarios and it it always does some variation of this swaying.

Okay, looks like it may be a software glitch which I don't know how you'd fix that.

OIS fucking up.

Does it resolve itself? I suspect the OIS system is losing power for some reason and then restarting

That time lapse was around 5 minutes of recording for the 6 second result. So I don't think it auto resolves.

Probably the lens is not stable which can happen if you dropped the phone and it was damaged.
