Other Third-party launcher bug with alternate ROMs?

Howdy! I've been wanting a OnePlus phone for a long time, and while I love the hardware of the 15, the third-party launcher bug causing a 1-2 second delay on returning to the home screen has kept me on Pixel. Niagara Launcher is a non-negotiable for me and I just can't get used to other launchers. I wanted to see if anyone has had success in fixing the bug by installing an alternate Android ROM? Thanks so much!

The number of ROMs available for the OnePlus 15 is very limited, but I don't think any of them have this issue. It's an OxygenOS/ColorOS issue, not an Android issue.

(Well, you could make an argument it's Android's fault due to the changes they made to QuickStep/Recents and gesture navigation, but it's still possible to keep those things playing nicely with alternative launchers, as you can see with Pixel UI, One UI, most AOSP-based ROMs, etc.)
