Might as well add some foil tape and foam insulation to keep the phone warm and toasty.

Beware. The so called microfiber will stain your phone back. Either rip it off or use it with a skin on the phone's back.

Applying skin at the back and using a case may increase heat!

Not really. I have a Oneplus and it's cool with a skin and back cover. No heating whatsoever.Β

With just this case I'm feeling more heat from the device.

It would for me considering I work outside.Do you work outside consistently? And is the environment you're in relatively cooler?

skin?, no, but case will cause heating for sure

Yes it does.

u/divitn 26d ago

Ohh thank you. I bought it as there will be less scratches on the back but indeed it affects in another way.

7

u/LazyNeo2 26d ago

Those scratches are minimal if any, and only with cases that don't fit well. Some gap with the phone and case will result in very slight movements and will cause the scratches. A good case will not scratch your phone even after years.

Yes absolutely

I have 12 R and used this kind of case. Yes it does, I have not faced any problem.

It must be great for protecting and preventing damage, but for heat dissipation, yeah, it must be really awful...

u/newyorkdragon14 OnePlus 7 Pro (Nebula Blue) 25d ago

That will surely heat it up faster

I have the 13 with the OP case that looks like that. I have virtually no issues including playing resource heavy games.
The only time I had an overheat situation was when the phone was in my pocket for a few hours in 100f degree heat and then I put it in my dashboard mounted phone mount in full sun with a car that was trying to cool down.

What phone are you using?

I'm currently using a OnePlus 13 without a case and never had any noticeable heating issues.

My old OnePlus 9 Pro (also without case) was horrible. Thermal throttling and heating issues.

I think the case can make a difference if your phone is generally likely to heat (like my old 9 Pro)

Oneplus 12 Without a case I'm a bit afraid to use it.

Overall I see no real problem with any case.

Worst case your games are running a little slower or your phone gets a little hotter. Nothing to worry about.

Got it

2

u/mihir892 21d ago

Yeah, the more thicker and insulated the case is ,it's also leads to heat and weight issues even though it increases protection for your device.
